Hey everybody, I know this video is a bit different to my usual videos in terms of editing and just the content in general. So, if there’s anything that bothered you feel free to tell me, so I can improve/train myself. I was surprised when you put wearing socks and sandals as a German thing. I have always been convinced that the Polish are the only ones who do that. This habit is so prevalent in Poland that we also think that it is "our thing". Good to know that we are not the only ones to do so. Socks + sandals/slippers = perfect temperature

partially correct. everyone jumped in once the overlay got updated and everyone got the idea what to do. but the idea 'to force end r/place' sparked by streamer bratishkinoff which of who asked rubius to help and spread the plan because he knew his community would be to small on his own. the VOD's to that are still up.

Good video, I liked it very much but just a small funny addition, the german discord was so big even in the hours before the event that discord moved their server onto a 1/4 of a server rack (normaly its like 100 server or more taking that space) because over 80k accounts joined in the last 24h before the event, sending thousands of messages and at peak over 6k people in a single stage channel!

The facts: On the day of the launch over 40k people joined the discord. The heavy usage of discord reactions caused the server to be completely unavailable (outage). Luckily they had someone in their team with a direct contact to discord. When first contacted, the engineer thought it was a raid by bots. The engineer had to actually forcibly shut down that server's process, then moved it.

Hi, this video has a lot of inaccuracies, mostly regarding the streamers. Things such as the giant f*ck spez originated from within the r/placede discord and the streamers only joined in later on. One of the placede designers quickly drew up the f*ck spez and we put it in our overlay. After that we started distributing the exact image to different groups such as the dutch and later streamers, after their developer request for it.

@@ebhaenger8246 The big fuck spez originated from a post in the r/place subreddit. The final version that actually ended up on the canvas in the end was a design created by one of the German designers.

France did take a part away from Argentina (after Argentina expanded over France) a better looking Shrek was redrawn over Argentinia and it looks like because Argentina tried to take away Shrek therefore it was expanded with Donkey over the rest of Argentina

Overlooked fact: Germany split on day 2 (I'll not go into reasons why) and operated as independent factions coordinated by different discords. With the smaller one defending and decorating a flag strip 1/10 the size with less than 1/1000 of the manpower of big germany and 1/1000000 of the buerocracy drama as well as 0 help from "assisted placement".

Those tilted windows originated in Germany and always leave the Americans flabbergasted in their "react to German" videos. The thing about socks in sandals seems to be a universal central European thing as some polish also claim it as their cultural heritage here in the comments. Due to the iron curtain we were the only ones in the west insisting on that fashion statement which is has become one of the most common stereotypes about Germans in anglophone media

Good video. But there are still many things that are missing , for examples: That the battle between Papaplatte and xQc ended with a "32?" on Charizard/Glurak (because xQc drew numbers for attacking the Papaplatte drawing saying everyone who was born on 32th) and the end of that battle leads to the attack on Turkey. The explanation that the Pikachu is the german youtuber Jules which is like the Internet Historian for germans. Or the European map where Germany always tried to conquer Poland and the south east of Germany always got colors of the flag of Bavaria. And some things are also not fully correct: Shrek was initially drawn over Britain At the alliance at the end there was also missing the big russian streamer bratishkinoff and they decided before the colors disappeard to draw the huge statement (because they knew that the event would end soon, they just hurry up when colors disappeard).
