Hi, I currently work as a full-time caregiver in Canada and have a CLB 7 as well as a Diploma degree. However, it looks like this pilot is only for caregivers outside Canada not for caregivers who are currently working for Canadian families right now in Canada. What do you think about this?

you cant evaluate a high school diploma i guess, so not needed but if you have more education, you will have to evaluate it.

If your job and studies are into computer science, you should be alright. You should be getting good amounts of pgwp length.

You can, you will need recent experience though, so make sure you start gaining it.

Hi, yes if you can find an employer and start working for them in either NOC code, by the time the program is released, you will be eligible.

Hi Raj from this i understood that we need not have the relevant education for this pilot program but we need relevant experience. I am doing my financial planning course which will get over by this December. Just to let you know i have 8 years of banking experience in India. Planning to switch my career to care giver, i heard there i a online psw course . Is it good to have and if i get job as a PSW, can i apply for PR after 1 year of experience. Am i eligible under this care giver pilot program? Request to guide me.

Hi, to be eligible for this program, all you need is some relevant experience, they haven’t mentioned how much yet. Other than that, job offer in most likely the NOC I mentioned would make you eligible, I hope it helps!

you cannot be a caregiver to your own child, its called parenting. It will not make you eligible as you will be the employer and employee.

Min education level is high school education. You will most likely be eligible. Tourist visa can be used to find potential employer ready to hire.

There wont be any visa, its a direct PR stream and yes if you can find an employer who is ready to offer you the job, then you can apply for Work permit and PR, its LMIA exempt.
