While the series revisits known tales, it's well-crafted and a must-watch for any Gotti enthusiast. Today, I'm sharing my insights and takeaways from the show, focusing on the extensive efforts of law enforcement to apprehend Gotti, post-Castellano hit. I’m so glad Michael is around to call out these people for their bullshit. Just tell the true story of Gotti, it’s interesting enough without the lies! I’d still like a proper film about Michael and his father!

At the end of the day,men like sonny and John Gotti no matter what people say where men of honor that stood tall when they took the oath and understood that life comes with jail or death and excepted their fate. U gotta respect them as men with morals and principals that didn't take the easy way out after getting busted like so many others that committed crimes but didn't except the consequences. I may not agree with the 2 men's actions,but I still have respect for their will to honor their word and integrity,they don't make men like that anymore!!!

Serious question Michael...While watching "Get Gotti" I noticed that every time the Feds/other agency went into the Bergin Hunt and Fish Club and Ravenite to bug it, there wasn't a soldier or other Gotti crime family member guarding the INSIDE of the place. Why did they not have someone watching the place in shifts 24-hrs/a day? It seemed to me that as careful as these guys were, they depended on the NEIGHBORHOOD lookout way too much.
@chadgrov
@chadgrov 6 ай бұрын
Don’t think they knew the power of bugging their actual hang outs. They would’ve thought the FBI crazy to even attempt it. but they did. I believe those old school guys back then were more worried about guys ratting or being wired up in a place that wasn’t their own. They just must’ve not thought it possible to have their own hangouts broken into and bugged like that. Massive oversight, but only thing I can think of is they just didn’t think THAT would happen.

I recently watched the 'Get Gotti' documentary and all it did was aggravate me more about our government and just how conniving they are. It just showed they would go to any length to get someone whether it be you - Michael Franzese, John Gottti or anyone they felt was in need of being taken down. I worked in the government sector for many years and I saw first hand just what our government was really like. That was my main reason for getting away from it. They always talk about how bad the Mafia (LC) is but when you get down to brass tax, the government that is supposed to help and protect everyone is the very one stealing from the ones they swore to protect. Thanks again for another great commentary and bringing out the truth to this 'production'. As always, stay safe my friend and God Bless..

The thing that really showed gotti arrogance was that after the 3rd trial, he should’ve known that they were bugging him. They showed him the tapes and he knew they had him so why didn’t he be more careful around the places he stayed? He definitely could’ve prevented getting caught a little earlier if he would’ve moved somewhere else or figured they had him bugged in his places.

Great video, Michael. I heard your comments on the mob still existing today. Love to hear your insight on how powerful or to what extent the mob is involved in things today? Seems so much more difficult to committ crimes today with video, cell phones, etc. Thoughts?

Thanks to social media, seems that people can think that they are anyone that they choose. The videos are rampant anymore with false information and extremely tall tales. Nice to hear from someone that is straight forward and not afraid to be someone or no one, because that's who and what they are. Very wise and I appreciate your videos

Maybe Gotti was always seen by many people as an anti-hero. You know, he was handsome, he was always good lookin', and for quite a while he was seen as sticking it to the "man" . He faced the Feds 4 times and they walked. Gottis "profile" grew with each victory. Gotti lived, breathed and embodied THE Mob. I think him organizing the hit on Castalanno was when he was catapultied into the public eye..and he loved it. So he played up to the media..

Look I agree.. Gotti obviously did believe that room was safe… but it still wasn’t smart of him at all. The FBI literally LIVED outside the ravenite (which Gotti & everyone else knew) Gotti also knew the ravenite was bugged. He shoulda figured that the FBI could easily find out about him using that ladies apartment. Just a huge mistake which cost him his life (he was gonna go down sooner or later) but he sure as hell made it sooner with his carelessness Him knowing how every agency saw him as a prize shoulda made him insanely cautious. I wouldnt be surprised if we get a Merlino film or slew of docs. He was an extremely visible boss, with all of the charity and good deeds he was doing in South Philly. Not to mention, the bullet he took , the time he did, and the everything else that went on there. Now he's free, out of the life and doing a podcast.

Heck, I watched the new episode. It’s quite insane that a family boss is doing this kind of thing in these days and age, actually. However, with all the chaos, I don’t think the Feds give half a crap.

How great would it be to spend a few nights with Michael going around New York with him taking you around and telling what went on and happened at what location. Same with some old detectives who knows all the history of the city. Something about crime and crime scenes just fascinates me. It's just a place but that one minute in time it was the most electrifying and dramatic place. After that short time it's just a normal street corner like nothing ever happened with nothing reminding of it.

He could be out here doing this KZfaq and making alot of money but he doesn't do it. Who knows why not? We may never know but I hope soon someone gives him an interview. How could any one blame him for loving his father and wanting to follow him nomatter what his father did. It's like Mike's story he woulda followed his dad anywhere aswell so you can't fault him at all .
