I absolutely love the look of your Hoss tools, and appreciate your videos also - no nonsense, no hype, just good solid looking equipment and practical application. I've just spent $25, 000 (NZ) on Grillo walking tractor and implements and intend to return to biological "farmers market - market gardening after initial (seven years) as 'organic field gardener'. I experienced burnout, droughts, floods, marriage breakup and virtual exhuastion including actual helicopter ride to hospital! Now recovered, experienced, and in process of getting properly equiped for 'round 2', as I get finances in order may look to order an array of Hoss tools, depending of cost of transport to New Zealand etc. Great to know you guys are out there doing such good work for smaller scale local food movement. Ashley.

Well done, as always, sir! I love watching somebody else doing the "Zombie Shuffle" straddling rows with the planter! That's gonna be a heap of okra! Good luck with it!

The marker is nice. I just used it for the first time in similar soil. I think it would have been easier if I waited for the ground to firm up a bit after tilling. It is like dragging an anchor if it is catching garden debris.

I enjoy my double wheel hoe. I want to add a rear wheel in order to fix the depth in which the cultivator and weed hoe works. I notice the kids ram it down and constantly get stuck. I am sure if I could develop a best depth then they could move at a constant pace.

Sure, but it's pretty simple. We just use one of those tripod sprinklers you get at the big box stores. Easy to move, easy to adjust the height and easy to adjust the spraying range/distance.

Ever thought about planting your okra feet apart where it bushes out like small trees?
@gardeningwithhoss
@gardeningwithhoss 5 жыл бұрын
When we transplant our okra in the spring, we always plant on 1' spacing because that's the spacing on our drip tape emitters. We don't like the plants bushy because it makes it much more difficult to find the okra and harvest it. So we prune the bottom leaves so that all of the okra is easy to find at the top.

Everybody wants more okra? I'm confused; is okra still a slimy vegetable? Isn't okra like a string bean that you blew your nose into?
