Pastor Jack is so right about the medicine being doing things for others when you're at your lowest. It's the best medicine of the soul. Sometimes I have to make myself but it always takes my mind off me. I'm my biggest problem too!!

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is March 6, 2019. It is Ash Wednesday. Today, Isaiah 58:1-12 will most likely be read in churches today. Remember that we are but dust, and to dust we will return. That held true with me as that applied to my mother two years ago.

I was half listening to this message as I was taking care of some emails. I was signing up to visit with refugee families and help with high schoolers applying for college and just finished when you said the part about how our light will shine in the darkness. You described perfectly where my mind has been - I lost a job, a relationship didn't go how I had hoped - and it's me, I am the problem! But I was already working on the solution so it was such a perfect word to me in that moment, thank you!!

I didn't feel well enough to get up Thursday morning ( 4.30 am) to listen to you, now I'm thankful that its here on KZfaq... ( you're wearing my favorite shirt !) hope it never wears out lol. You mentioned Ravi, wow, I read his biography some months ago, ( walking from East to West) how amazingly God has used him, I have so much respect for this man, his teachings, I fill my days, listening to Godly men, and having my bible open next to it, I have no greater desire than to learn and come closer to our wonderful awesome Jesus, truly I long for the day I can see his face looking upon me, and right now, just thinking of that moment fills my eyes with tears,cause I miss Him so often... do you know that feeling Jack? My church is fasting for 21days which im involving myself.....i read my bible when i wake up .....but today something supernatural happened.....this time around i didnt open into a place i want to read , i took the bible and it opened to Isaiah 58 .I read it and wow 🤗God is wonderful.......What is God trying to tell me ?

Isaiah 58:13-14- Saturday is the Sabbath, not Sunday. "Holy" means "set aside". God made the Sabbath holy and sanctified it at Creation- Genesis 2:3. "Jesus is the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8. " I am the Lord. I change not." Malachi 3:6. " That which God blessed, cannot be reversed!" Numbers 23:20. " For You blessed, O Lord, and it shall be blessed forever." 1 Chron.17:27. "I gave them My Sabbaths, as a sign between Me and them, that they might know I am the Lord that sanctifies them." Ezekiel 20:12. Sunday is NOT the Sabbath! Saturday is, always was and always will be the Sabbath. It is the 4th Commandment, that God wrote with His own finger in the Ten Commandments. God said in His 4th Commandment , "REMEMBER the Sabbath day, to keep it holy..." God knew we would forget! Hebrews 4:4-8 says "...There remains, therefore, a rest to the people of God..." The Hebrew word for "Daddy" is Abba..... S ABBA TH, right in the middle of Sabbath, or Shabbat in Hebrew. This is a very serious subject and error in the churches today, yet totally swept under the carpet, ignored, vehemently denied, or said it was "nailed to the cross" with the other 9 Commandments! Sorry, it still stands! It is the Seal of God- Rev.6:9, 7:2-3, 9:4, John 6:27, 2 Tim. 2:19, Eph.1:13-14, 2Cor.1:22, Deut.11:18, Exodus 6:4-9, 13:2-10, 13-23- as opposed to the mark of the beast-Rev.13-14. I can't list all the scriptures as proofs that Saturday is the Sabbath, NOT Sunday! Research for yourselves. Important! I am not a Seventh Day Adventist. You'll also miss the Millenium Sabbath Rest for the true Believers!!! That is 1,000 years of Rest after 6,000 years of biblical history are up. Set aside Saturday- the true Sabbath- as your day of worship and fellowship with God, our Creator, not in legalism, but in grace. It is obedience to GOD, the Father, out of love for Him. "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath", Jesus says- Matt. 12:18, Mark 2:27. Sin is the breaking of the Law- 1 John 3:4- What Law? What will sinners all be judged by- James 2:12.? What sins did Jesus cleanse and forgive us for by His cruel death at the cross? In James 2:10, what law is he referring to? Do we get to pick which ones we want to obey out of our love for God, or do we keep all of it? We can't, except by grace. The Law is written on our hearts, in Spirit and Truth. In Matt.7:21 Jesus says, "Not everyone that says to Me, 'Lord, Lord', shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that does the will of My Father who is in heaven." These are so-called Christians because they call Jesus 'Lord, Lord'. What is the will of the Father? Rev.14:12 says, "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus".The Ten Commandments, not the Levitical law. Christians get these confused because they don't read their Bibles, taking verses out of context. They follow the traditions and teachings of men- Matt.15:6,9, Romans 3:4.
