Auto advance shortcut - Caps Lock

When I chose my rejected images and tried to delete them I received this message: Remove the 16 selected photos from Lightroom? The original files can not be deleted because they are missing or on a volume that is offline. I have a choice to delete from Lightroom or cancel my decision. I want them permanently removed from my disk, but this wasn't an option . I've had Lightroom for a long time but never tried much to sort the images , organize and trash the images I don't want because I get confused . I am looking into it deeply now, because I really want to learn how. Help someone , anyone !
