Our special guest will be 30 year VA and FDNY veteran FF Joel Kanasky. He was a volunteer from 1985 thru 2015. He started out as a USMC firefighter from 1982 to 1985. He Joined the Alexandria VA in 1985 and worked there until 1994. He joined the FDNY in 1994 and was assigned to Tower Ladder 17. He transferred to Rescue 1 in 1998 and worked there until his retirement in 2014. As you can imagine he has been involved with some incredible and unique rescues and fires over the years throughout his career but especially in Manhattan.
