I want a massage therapist to do this for me, I hardly get anybody that I go see for massage sessions to make it seem like they have a plan or their caring about me in the extra mile. Yeah you don’t wanna talk about the genuine areas that they have issues and you talk about areas of real concern. He’s just giving you an example and it sounds a little fake on the video but when you’re talking to people you be real with them I think it’s important to go over those issues that they have and then try to get them back like I said I’ve got massages before and I don’t think hardly anyone ever tries to rebook me and remembers my specific issues.

Thank you! ✨ -- Sometimes it’s the “little extras”, in conjunction to what was expressed in this video, that bring clients back or have clients tell their family or co-workers about their ‘great massage therapist). One simple one - Really Listen to those where they state they hurt/want worked - and be sure to work them! I’m surprised how often I’m told, “Wow, I immediately noticed how much better I felt getting off the table, especially in the back of my right leg, my sciatic pain is basically gone. Thank you” “When I went to “_______” for my last massage they barely worked that area, and the therapist kind of did her own thing. I’d really like to book at a couple sessions before I head out” Tips come easy through this as well. --// Occasionally for the last client of the day, or for a client that has a 30 minute gap before the next one is scheduled... I may ask, “Are you headed back to work today?” Client, “No, I’m just going to relax the rest of the day.” LMT, “Well, if you’re not in a hurry then I’d like to take about 5 (or 10) extra minutes to work a little longer on the back of your neck and base of the skull to try and help reduce your headaches (or whichever issue they’re having). Continue, “Of course no extra charges, I just know you’ll (sleep better/improved concentration), if I can help calm those muscles down before you head on home” Again, this builds rapport, and it gives the client a chance to see you that you do care about their health, and a few “free” minutes can bring repeat bookings. ---/

Everyone uses "smash that like button." Cater yours to your profession; "massage that like button" is psychologically appealing, and sets you apart. You already have a likable personality, enhance it with outside the box, non cookie-cutter usuals.

Hey Spencer! I was recently watching one of your old ASMR videos and I really enjoyed them. I was wondering if you would be able to do a Role play of a physical or prostate exam because I am very nervous to get one and doing a practice run with you would ease my nerves. Thank you for taking my comment into consideration!
@markg6860
@markg6860 6 жыл бұрын
Your suggestion would probably be a little outside the realm of acceptable on KZfaq. I actually do prostate massage and have done so for over 10 years. I'm a masculine gay guy and virtually all my prostate guys are actually straight. (They come to me because either they are unwilling to discuss things with their partner or because the partner will have nothing to do with that part of the male anatomy ... because she thinks "it's gay". If you are referring to an actual prostate EXAMINATION, which would be done by your doctor during a physical (UK: "medical"), you should not be nervous. (My guess is that you are afraid of having an erection during the procedure? If so, I would suggest that you just masturbate and ejaculate right before your appointment). However, if you are referring to a prostate MASSAGE (with a prostate orgasm), the key things are to first check that your massage guy actually does it and secondly, get several regular massages from him before you get the prostate massage. Trust is the biggest factor here, so you need to be VERY comfortable with him. -------------------------------------------------------------- Addendum 1: Be sure that your massage guy takes all proper sanitary precautions ... trimmed finger nails, surgical gloves, hand sanitizer, sufficient lubricant, etc. Also, try to use the bathroom (#2!) before your appointment. Addendum 2: You should be very careful about getting a prostate massage over the age of 50 or if you have any history of recent haemorrhoids, BPH (enlarged prostate), recent prostatitis (prostate infection) or prostate cancer. Addendum 3: Long fingernails and prostate massage do not mix! Guys ... be very careful about asking your lady for one .. see Addendum 1, above!

@@markg6860 prostate MASSAGE? with orgasm? Huh? Are you an LMT??
@markg6860
@markg6860 5 жыл бұрын
@@kimberlytrent4377 No. I'm just very good at prostate massage. (I work on several young MDs, btw). Some of my guys have told me just how relaxed they feel after one of the best orgasms they have ever had from prostate stimulation. You don't usually experience that intensity from just masturbation alone or even intercourse, which is what leaves some guys unfulfilled ... but they don't know the exact reason why.

Have you ever worked with any clients with Lyme Disease? I would also very much like to know your advice when working with clients who are “needy”. A client who always want more. The feeling of when you as the Therapist feels absolutely drained after sessions with clients like that.

Wonderful suggestions. They got me thinking, though--do you keep all of the client info in your head? If so, you have a better memory than I do! If not, you probably rely on documentation of some kind. As much as that is probably a cringe-inducing (or snooze-inducing) topic, maybe you can set yourself to the challenge of giving us an entertaining video about it with your helpful hints ... 😁?

It really is simple, just type it into the memo section of their file. (Not soap notes) don’t have to put everything, but maybe one or two sentences what you talked about so you can bring it up next session. Or get some alphabetical note pad from the dollar store

I disagree with guaranteeing results. This can set you up for failure from my experience and if you don't actually get this person that far along, you will lose credibility. I also find that the calling portion people actually do not want you call them. Now with all the spam calls they screen calls. I will say however, if you wait a a while to reach out to them to check on them, maybe a month later to see how they are doing, or perhaps if they are in a lot of pain, check on them a few days later via text or email to let them know you are genuine in your caring for them and not just trying to re book. The best way to re book is to get them booked before they leave. The issue is getting them in the first place which this video did not cover.

sari taylor I guess don’t Promise them for that 80% as it’ll be a subjective determination of that. I think a good goal to achieve would to ensure that your client leaves happy and relieved.
