I used to work at 209 and those were some of my fondest memories of my career. It’s where I built my clientele. They are the sweetest family. Her parents were running it at the time and I hope all is well with them. Sabrina was the sweetest always friendly with my customers and I . Yes the place is a humble spot but that was what genuine about it, it was family run mom and pop. They also had a bad ass nail tech Annette, she was the best at foot massages I really miss those simple days. It was sad to leave but had to spread my wings once I grew my family. Much love to the Ramos family ❤️❤️🙏🏽

@@elleendeavor6429 sure, you can, but you can only lighten dark hair to an extent in one session, or you run a risk of severely damaging the hair and making it fall out, we don't know for sure what happened here, they might've had boxed dye or had a product in the hair that could've messed with the results, she also said she told the lady she needed to do something to her hair to get the desired result so im guessing it's one of the two.

@@nxna5932 I’m not disputing that. I’m saying that you can use a myriad of products and techniques to get an even or even enough result throughout the hair. If the clients hair is two different colors noticeable enough that it bothers them or they complain, it needs to be addressed.

I can sympathise with Sabrina, the semi-rant she had about the Karens she has served spoke to me. She's not helping herself ....look at that place,it's disgusting. She needs to make an effort and start by cleaning that place. It wont cost much money,....rags and 2 bottles of a good cleaning product. There's no way that she has many repeat customers ,again...just starting with the nastiness. It's not right to take people's money and wash their hair in a sink that's dirtier than the person hair.
@injest1928

Reviews are king in this kind of business, I think a lot of small businesses let the person not pay and just don't allow those customers from coming again. I also agree with others in the comments who say she needs to put more into the look and feel of the setting. Customers may even be happier with their hair if it's a nicer setting, it may prime the customer into thinking they are getting a worse cut if the setting is ugly.

And people tend to only leave reviews when they had a horrible experience. If they just had a typical day at the salon they are not likely to take the time to leave a review. This can leave an establishment looking much worse than they really are. It was hard to watch him confront her. Super awkward. I don’t like watching awkward.🤨

Obviously this doesn't apply to everything and it's good that there are reviews, but I've noticed that most people if they have a problem with a service or a product are quick to write negative review in anger, where as most people who are happy with the exact same stuff usually don't bother to write a positive review. This can often make something more undesirable than it actually is.

I'm a former hairdresser for 11 yrs and I have worked in okish salons and really nice salons and tbh some clients really are just nightmares. People think they can talk down to you and get away with all kinds of weird behavior because you are a service worker. Honestly it's usually older women with money. I had a lady throw a literal tantrum one time because I couldn't understand when she said she wanted her hair short but also long at the same time. I tried to show her all kinds of pictures etc and not only could nothing I show her satisfy her, but she couldn't show me an example either because the haircut she wanted "didn't exist" (her words). It was ridiculous. I am so glad to not be in that profession anymore.

Some of us are allergic to hair dyes and bleach, so this could explain that one reciewer's call itching and burning. Sometimes salons sadly use cheaper products that don't account for all of our allergies, but we can get allergy tested to understand our allergies or ask about potential common allergens in the product. Bad experiences happen and maybe Sabrina did nothing wrong or she learned from her experiences here.

Sabrina is awesome!! I’ve known her and her parents since I was a kid!! My grandparents were really close with her mom and dad!! My grandmother would go over to their shop every Friday like clock work to get her hair done by, Mary which is Sabrina’s mom!! I always felt so much love when I was around Sabrina and her mom and dad!! They are of Mexican heritage and I love that about them since I am both Mexican and White!! Mexican people have so much love and compassion, it’s part of our culture!! The shop that they own always felt so homey and welcoming to me!! And Sabrina and her mom and dad are like family to me, and they will always be family to me, no matter what!! Also, Sabrina is the best damn hair stylist I know!! She always would make me look so fly, and nobody has ever been able to do my hair the way she does!! I love, Sabrina!! She is NUMERO UNO 🥇!! ❤️🤘⚡️

I knew someone who did exactly that in the only hair salon in our hometown, she'd always complain about how she wasn't satisfied so she wouldn't have to pay. Eventually, they refused to take her in anymore and she had to travel to the next closest city to get her hair done ! Some people have no basic decency, they think they're so smart for cheating when everyone else respects the rules.

I couldn't imagine the stress stylists get. Not that their work is a matter of life or death but their future depends on their customers being satisfied. 1 person with an agenda can ruin a small business owner, even being attacked from competition. Remember that

Got an aunt yhat does this eith restaurants every time. Will finish her plate. Stash rolls and breadsticks in her purse then complain EVEN WHEN SHE ISN'T PAYING. She will show up to family parties and no joke make 10 (sometimes more) plates and just leave. This last time she hid plates around the venue we rented and had to call her son to gather them all. He looked so embarassed. Some people experience 0 shame. Not one bit. No embarrassment or humility. Strange

As a hairdresser, I've dealt with people like this. I have had people who don't tell me exactly what they want and when I cut their hair too short or not the way they wanted they get upset. I've even had other people seem happy at first and then walk out saying it wasn't what they wanted but say "oh itll work even though it wasn't what i was looking for" i then offer to help them or fix their hair and they refuse and choose to still write a bad review. you truly cannot please everyone
