Hi Sir, I would like to file a provisional application within a relatively short time. However, because of the novelty of my invention, there are many possible embodiments. Some are not practical in terms of cost of manufacturing compared to one or two of my embodiments which are my actual preferred embodiments for manufacturing. Nevertheless, competitors may still manufacture them if I do not include these embodiments in my patent specification. So, I find that if I keep thinking of embodiments I would not be able to file within a short time. So I am thinking of a solution or strategy and that is to cover just the BASE Concepts of my invention in the provisional application so that although competitors may still adapt my invention to have more features or more advanced features they would have infringed my base concept. Would this be a practical strategy to adopt? As we know there are literally hundreds of ways to do something. So how to cover all these using functional and structural language ?
