When I was growing up, the kid who lived next door to me was the kind of little monster that lived to torment people in mascot costumes. I think he got banned from Chuck E. Cheese after the (second?) time he dropped ice down the back of the costume and kicked the poor soul in the gonads.

I don't exactly know why this is the first thing that comes to mind but after watching this I'm now imagining some kind of epic anime fight scene of a 6 foot tall, bloodied Pikachu charging through a hoard of imps/goblins and throwing them left and right ending with it delivering a flying roundhouse kick to Matt for his betrayal and then collapsing in a broken heap just short of it's goal

Mascot Costumes are suppose to be fun and cute for children but they are either beating the poor guy up or being scared by his mere presence, no in-between is like if adult-size plushies activates the fight or flight response xd

1000% children turn feral.. I.. I.. I was a Santa once.. **sobs uncontrollably** NEVER AGAIN!! This is a long story that I'm going to have to come back and write out later but I'm just going to cut right to it. The announcer continued his speech trapping me at the front of the ballroom. The children were LITERALLY climbing all over me. One came from over the back of the chair. And a Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant is staring me down with a death glare. He finally marches up and slams one of the presents.. that I thought was decorative.. into my stomach like a coach angrily trying to hurt somebody with a football. "Oh I'm supposed to hand out presents!" I realized with a sigh of relief. I'm happily handing them out and calling out children's names.. when.. WHEN.. * I am genuinely crying right now * there weren't any more presents for half of the children. The rest WERE decorative. HaLF oF ThE ChILdREN didN'T GET PRESENTS. And a small adorable button of a black girl who looked exactly like Susie Q from the Grinch, looks up at me with heartbroken eyes.. "don.. Don't I get a present Santa? My mind shattered.. All I could do was stare at her, frozen and completely unable to move. She walked away and I am literally just standing there staring at the floor where she stood, unable to react as the black hole forming in my heart sucks up all my other organs. The announcer finally realizes and announces that Santa is going to leave. And I shambled out of the room genuinely like a zombie.. a husk of a man. NEVER AGAIN ( I am not kidding I am wiping up tears right now because that little girl's face haunts me to this day.)
