A couple of weeks ago we set off to North Wales to meet up with the guys from @4WDUK who had kindly offered to show us around some of their local green lanes!
These by no means were 'steady' lanes, we found them very technical in places and as you can see from the thumbnail, we got stuck (a few times).
This was by far the biggest challenge yet for the Yeti... but did it make it back in one piece???

Rumour has it, that when all the Disco's have gone the way of the dinosaurs. There is a Yeti still going strong over the lanes. Can't complain about the odd stall when you've no low range, unlike the others.

I think if you guys are committed enough to cut the yeti slightly and fit some 235/75/15 mud terrain at may perform even better on those muddy green lanes

Thoroughly enjoyed that video. Warts n all. Great editing, great group, little George loving it. Few repairs, but mega impressed with the little Yeti, surprised the clutch survived the day though tbh

Good vid Darkside guys!! Really surprised how well the yeti on minor modifications does really well on a tough lane like pig lane!! Definitely put it through its paces!! Nice to see the Touareg’s at it too!! 🤘

I nearly bought a Yeti as a dog bus, but ended up buying a fully loaded F11 530d and as much as I love driving the BM, I still have a soft spot for Yeti’s. They’re a bit of a marmite car, but there’s no doubting their resilience to abuse.😁 I worked as a trail guide covering the Cambrian mountains and Brecon Beacons and the most unusual vehicle I’ve seen out on the lanes was an MG convertible and 3 series BM, complete with snorkels on the Strata Florida.🤪

Great to watch you guys ripping up the lanes and giving the Anti brigade even more reasons to ban ALL off road fun. Keep at it and soon you will be unable to wallow in the mud. If by any chance you are on private land with permission then no problem.

I don't know what everyone gets their knickers in a twist about. Rain and wind causes more damage than we did on this trip. No point in having any lanes if everyone spends their time on the internet talking about using them without leaving tyre tracks.

hurrah! where are the mountain sheep? back in the mid 1990's the government passed laws restricting the stocking levels/density on moorlands, mountains, AONBs, SPSIs etc because all of the little hooves were causing environmental damage/erosion.

Well, on Saturday, me and a friend took our bikes to North Wales (near Rhosmoor) and did a lot of trails, finishing with Pig Lane. And, WE COMPLETED Pig Lane :D Yes, it took us 4 hours, yes it took 2 of us to get the bikes out of the bog several times. Yes, the pubs were shut by time we'd got out of there. BUT, we did it :D

Have you thought about trying the rivington pike green lane not so sure the yeti would manage it but it would be a good challenge for the Touareg’s 👍🏻

The proper mud tyres were so noisy on the road it was too noisy but yes, it needs better!

They are smaller so don't bother! We are fitting V12 turbos to a V8 instead

Man, it’s bad idea to use orange cloth to compensate wire power while towing other car. Sorry for my English, but it dangerous for windglass and life.

Great video boys, at least you kept out all dumb arse f#kin music, by doing that we can hear all your chat advice direction laughs an cursing, all your knocks bumps revs every kind of noises and squelch, well done you guys are the only 4x4 group doing it the way it should be done, not like those UK 4x4 twats who think they are a off shoot of top gear, most of the time what they're saying to each other can't even be heard, luv yur vids boys keep it real for all of us that don't get the chance to do these routs.
