I did the same pump on my golf r, if you have access to ethanol you should definitely do MPI. Made a huge difference

Luckily for me I don’t have to worry about the clutch since I opted for the DSG, but knock on wood I haven’t had any issues with my water pump

I have always been a fan of the gti so when I had the opportunity to get one it was a no brainer for me. Also the GTI is super capable when you start modding it.

Hey how long did you wait for your pro tune from sneeky? I got a base map and I’m having trouble with it and he hasn’t responded in a while. I’m not too worried about the base map but I plan on going with your set up and if he’s taking that long on a 91 base map then I’d like to see how long it’d be for a full custom tune.

It can vary based off of how much he has going on. That being said it took almost two weeks for me to get my base map, I am now on the 5th or 6th revision and each one takes 3-5 days generally

@@HaydenCroix thanks. That’s not bad of a wait. For some reason my 91 map is locked and hopefully that can get figured out before I order a custom tune.

100% ditch the HPFP and get some MPI. Hopefully can use some of that money back to cut down on the cost to get the proper setup.

When are you going to add a Wavetrac? Cuz wheel hop on 500HP is not too much fun. You may want to look in to that before you go big turbo. This is still a GTI S - I've seen perf pack MK7s add a WT first before going past IS38. Also - IS38 is not considered big turbo so I'm assuming you're doing EQT's Vortex or a Garrett? Edit: I don't even think the Vortex is considered big also.
