@@NoolaGaming-noolr Slayer is stronger than Elphelt. Besides, Elphelt doesn't have a meterless reversal aswell. Easily a 6-4 matchup for Slayer.

@@NoolaGaming-noolrSlayer’s numbers are a bit overtuned, but he’s not super difficult to play around; his game plan is very straightforward. He tries to fish for counter hits and mixups, and basically punishes people who play super unsafe.

patch note x.xx slayer : all mappa hunches cause 3 wallbreaks hard knockdown on block, 6 on hit. both dandy steps are 10f faster. pilebunker now do 70 + 30% max hp damage, wallbounce up to 3 times before wallstick, reset combo gravity and combo decay on hit. master's hammer has 9 active frames and throw invul for the full duration. c.S now launch opponent up in the air on block and guardcrush until landed. f.S hits 5 times (+10 on block). 2H is 30% wider. his 2k and 2d have both high and low properties. 2p and 5p is 1f faster, has vacuum effect. bloodsucking universe is now 2f startup and 15f recovery and now replaced both his ground and air throw. to compensate for the lost kara command throw, we gave this move a hard knockdown and a set long buff which revive slayer with 10% hp per successful bloodsucking universe and give him full burst bar on revive. last horizon is unblockable and can be use in the air. when kara cancel is detected, slayer gains 20% damage buffs lasted for 5940 frames and opponent can't block for the same duration. this is to reward players for using *"complex"* game mechanics. developer's note : due to slayer's *"bad"* neutral game and defense, we decided to give him a little more edge when he's on offense. to make sure he's not too strong , we decided to remove his regular throws. bug fix : fix the issue with slayer's mappa hunch frame advantage (now +5 on block from any distance)

I think it was too late. I completed Slayer counterplay training mission using Elphelt recently and I did 6p against this attack. But with wrong timing you can't hit him

No, we just suck. I absolutely despise elphelt with every cell of my body, but if you learn the matchup she becomes 100 times worse. If we don't take the time to lab the matchup it's on us and not on the character. Period.

You are right that's annoying and even unfair that you can't lab the matchup without buying her, but this same argument is valid for every single dlc character in every single fighting game. I wouldn't say that's she is not low tier because you have to buy her hahahaha

@@lorenzopiva9322I would be fine with something like +r replay mode where you can take over the replay, but not being able to learn the matchup properly against a character that relies so much on her opponent not knowing the matchup feels unfair, she's still not top 10 but it seems like most of the community has that same issue

Strive is in a complete mess of balance full of braindead characters like Slaya and Asphalt ruining honest characters struggling like VEN"frickin"NOM into obscurity. . . Da Da...Daisuke is insane to have ruined the series with strive to appeal to zoomers and skilless mashers. two touch this, steamroll that. they should just make VEN"frickin"NOM good already so the meta doesnt let 12 year olds win with their carried f.s and 350 damage combos. VEN"frickin"NOM has had terrible results and should be the design focus of how to make a good character, but because the devs hate him for some reason, we're stuck with this garbage. 5k 6k being fucking grabbable, you need to manage 2 resources to get mix that other characters do better and do more damage with, without having a single unique defensive option. Catwater character that doesnt deserve this, in a somehow even more catwater game
