His first name is pronounced similar to George, but in two syllables, Gheor - ghe and the "e" is pronounced like your "a", but without the final vocal, "e". The first "Ghe" is pronounced like one sound, followed by the vocal "o" and the second "ghe" is made of the sound "gh" and the sound "e", which I said is pronounced like your letter "a", but shorter, without the sound "e" at the end.

I was born in 1977 in Deva, Romania. I grew up watching Hagi. He was someone I always looked up to. I'm glad to see he is still involved in the same game he always loved. Much love Hagi!

he was a midfielder and he gave very-very good passes to score..he was the BRAIN of the teams that he played- he was theCaptain of those teams soooo as a scorer you see just one third of the work that he was doing for the team... really a genius

Gheorghe Hagi is legend of football he played for: Steaua Bucharest, Real Madrid, Brescia, Barcelona, Galatasaray. He is born in Romania and is considered the best player from his country and one of the best players in history offootball. He ridiculed Maradona in 1990 World Cup. CristianBogdan1 I started out as a kid at farul Constanta. He was still playing there. Remember Petcu? That good but drunk player? Let's not forget his begging. That's when he went from group b to group a.

Antonio Pall If you want to talk about Hagi then you have to mention Farul and Sportul Studentesc because at Sportul he developed his career of top player from Sportul he went to Steaua. But for the world this small teams don't matter that is why i never mentioned about them. The real big teams he played i've already mentioned.

Its because of high level of corruptions in football starting at the kids, if a kid who's father has money that kid is going to play even if he does not have the talent, and the kids with very good talent for football does not play because they don't have money to bribe the coaches of little leagues.

Wylde Wylde Wrong. Hagi won with Galatasaray against Arsenal in 99/00 the UEFA Europe League and then in 2000 against Real Madrid the UEFA Super Cup. On top of that in that time Galatasaray won the league 4 times in a row which other club couldn’t done.

You almost got it right buddy. The only thing is that the "d" in hadgey is silent. You don't hear it. It is more like hajey if you want.

Watch "Gheorghe Hagi - Goals and Skills". There's a lot of long range goals. The last goal was scored in 1994. That year USA was the host for the World Cup. We have some great but also some sad memories regarding that World Cup.

3:35 he wasn’t getting out of the way pal. He would have liked to be exactly in the way but is really unpredictable where the ball is gonna go. So as a defender u just try to guess jump high if u think the ball is going high and lucky the ball will hit you and not the net. And by the way the guy who took that shot was very unpredictable. Take Hagi and Messi put them together in a blender and u might get half of Hagi.
