Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and ex-girlfriend of the late US convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been denied bail in a high-profile sex case. Subscribe to our channel here: goo.gl/31Q53F
At a hearing via video link, a New York judge said she would remain in custody while awaiting trial on charges of trafficking minors for Epstein.
Ms Maxwell, who pleaded not guilty, will go on trial in July 2021.
Her lawyers had said she was at risk of contracting coronavirus in prison.
Epstein died in prison on 10 August 2019 as he awaited his trial on sex trafficking charges. His death was determined to be suicide.
Ms Maxwell, who was arrested on 2 July 2020, faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted.
The British socialite denies grooming underage girls for the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

She is being treated like anyone else who is accused... No she isn’t? She and her team of defence lawyers planned all this whilst she was “on the run” from the FBI.. Like they didn’t know where she was at all times? This is a massive publicity stunt in order to appease us little people. So many back and forth deals would have been taken place during the months of her disappearance and now she’s decided to take whatever deal they’ve conjured up for her. Notice how there hasn’t even been a mug shot of her? No pictures of her in the can? She’s supposedly been arrested, but it was all part of the plan. Maxwell gives up some powerful names, she’ll most likely use Prince Andrew as a pawn, exposing some high ranking people. And leaving the majority of her sick pedo ring out the loop. Maxwell being arrested doesn’t prove anything.

These cases really test my belief that " innocent until proven guilty" means a person should get bail. I had a friend who spent nine month in jail waiting for trial because he did not have bail money. He did 9 months then the charges were dropped.

It's interesting how out of all their powerful friends, between Trump, Clinton, Dershowitz et al, it is Prince Andrew that has come out as the most consistently named/targeted by all of the press and victims. When/if she finally goes to trial will be fascinating to see who has been avoiding justice (Epstein, Andrew and Maxwell aside). Clinton is especially interesting given no one has implicated him beyond the number of flights he is alleged to have taken on the Epstein plane. SO grim. Hope he isn't as involved. Although acquainted, Trump certainly does not seem to have been as closely linked. Hopefully we will find out soon enough, unless she accidentally/deliberately 'offs herself'.
