GHL solid built German gear. Personal experience for me unfortunately was not good. I had the Profilux 3 Mega set, Mitras light bars, GHL doser and I had issues with linking them together. I had 2 pumps of my doser die and as it was just over a year old GHL would only charge me for the repair. I then had my profilux 3 screen start to fade and would just switch off. My Light bars would drop out and go to 100% light output which was a nightmare as they were so bright at 100%. I'm now an apex user and they are not without there problems but far easier to use than the profilux 3. The profilux 4 does look awesome as does there GHL Director but they are at a serious price. So for me 2K of products and after 6 years I barely made back £300 re-sale as the controller/doser died. Sorry for negative comment, thought I'd share my experience as still bitter about it lol

Also have a profilux 4 although couldn't justify the additional costs for the mega set or ultimate set for the 2 extra probes and potential touch screen. PH and temperature is enough for me at the moment along with the power bar and it's really interesting to see the PH swing throughout the day. One of the reasons to get it was the idea long term of also adding the KH director and future ION director. Although the profilux is not needed, I like the idea of a single controller. Should be worth noting that the probes are potentially needing to be replaced after a period of time which is an ongoing cost. Unless I am mistaken, something missing for me is the inability to send an SMS warning on alerts without an expensive addition although I believe you can set up email alerts without additional items.

Hey man, congrats on the best controller on the market but DO NOT plug the heater directly in to the power bar! Will short the controller sir, use an ink bird or heater controller and plug that in to the power bar, make sense?

Although GHL has to be the best controller going from what I have seen I - I think in the last year it is looking more like for most average reefers a controller is an unnecessary extra cost. Testing Alk automatically more than once a day will really help the average reefer but just about ALL equipment now comes with really good controllers now. As an extra you need temp (inkbird), a battery backup on a pump and a Seneye (which has water level and pH) - soon (I hope) they will have Alk plus a Par meter is in my opinion one of the most important pieces of kit a reefer should have after the basics. Great video Michael and I am glad you are testing it - all those thumbs down must be the US Apex lovers (who I should remind don't have to deal with the ancient powerbar the rest of us would have to accept if we decided on Neptunes. For me it's GHL and Ekoral at the top but I think the Hydros will take over in a year or so.
