This time for sure they need to do an extended cut

The shot of the ice forming on Lucky’s face and getting close to her eye made me actually feel tense like she’d get killed off. It’s a shame that shot was omitted from the movie, would’ve given the film more tension that someone could die.

Why did they take out that scene of Venkman giving Grooberson advice?! That’s like a proper passing of the torch. Hope your video goes viral!

We were robbed. These scenes added so much. The suspense/horror started too late. I still like it but man, this editing killed it from what it could have been. If they don't give us a Special Edition, I'm all for a fan edit. Begs for one.

I really get the sense there was more of a seige on the firehouse they fought off before Grakka arrived in earlier cuts

The deleted scene where Callie fired her proton steam out of the fire house window made her look more "Bad Ass " as a character . that should have stayed in the movie .

Great video!! You found more than I realized. These senes need to be back in. I can uderstand one or two shots but this is way too many scenes to have been taken out. The rooftop red jacket shot was the most surprising as it was so popular.

They should make another ghostbusters movie.All the movies were great,even without the extra scenes.

Missed one. There was a scene with trevor and Gary asking Ray if there was a flying car around. It was a subtle nod to the cartoons that used to have the flying vehicle. I forget which promo i saw jt from.

They absolutely NEED to release and extended cut.

The absence of the red jackets is the biggest one. That looked like an entirely different end battle then what we got. And the red jackets are on every poster and ad for the movie. Bizarre marketing.

Its obvious as to why these were cut, as a lot of them would be redundant in several cases, or disrupt the pacing of the story. Such as there was no need for a Peter/Gary scene , or for Gary to dance around Callie given the context of the actual story. The 'No Need Trappin, We Be Zappin' bit while funny would take away from the actual tension.

From the looks of this, I think I'll enjoy the extended cut better than the theatrical one!

If there’s no Director’s/extended version released, I hope that we at least get everything that was cut as bonus features on DVD and someone does a fan edit.

just watched this and my family and I loved it! Every character (as many as their are) was wonderful! And the character Lars looks (purposely) like Egon from the animated series! I was surprised to many animated series nods in here! Overall, A GREAT addition to the franchise! Left theater smiling

It was good but I have to admit that I liked the last one better.

I came up with a fan ending idea to new Ghostbusters... They lose the battle in the firehouse... Garaka gos to the top of the enpire state building to control all those loose ghosts (because its the highest point in the city and in the fricking title!) Its At this point Phoebe and co learn about the bronze.... Just as you think all is lost...... The young amd old Ghostbusters rush in ecto to the empire state building , fighting /capturing ghosts on the way, saving the odd person, maybe a ghost from their past hear or there briefly.... They get there, and THEN. Bust garaka using the enhanced copper proton packs ..

I have a challenge for you fanfic writers: Rewrite this movie with a few things in mind: 1. The opening and closing scenes must be the same. 2. Any new characters added must stay, along with their character arcs. 3. Garraka’s defeat must end the same way 4. Bonus: the more you elaborate what deleted “shot” you are using, the better.

Unfortunately, many of these scenes do not move the plot forward in any meaningful way, and as such, the movie was better served with most of them cut. There are a few gems here I would've left in, however, such as: • All Bill Murray scenes • Callie firing a proton stream out the window • Trevor firing a proton stream at Slimer • Janine answering the phone • I'd keep the stone tablets vs the CGI tablets • Ho ho ho ho

You know what else we didn't get? Songs! All the other films had 'pop' music accompanying the score.

I'm of the opinion that they cut this film down a bit too much. There's some missing elements and some pacing issues that could have been fixed. that's the only problem I have with the movie, just loved it.

Another Bill Murray scene cut was with Bill in the Ghostbusters suit wearing the dark sunglasses and saying, "That Was Some Talent!"

This video is really interesting, I've been to see Frozen Empire and I spotted some of these missing bits that are shown in the various trailers but not in the final film like Lucky shouting "Get away from her!" I liked that bit because she was being protective towards Phoebe and obviously they've bonded a bit since Afterlife. I'm sure in the trailer for Afterlife there's a clip from the school where Phoebe walks into the classroom and and one of the other kids basically throws a load of potato snacks (crisps or chips or whatever you want to call them) into her face and that's not in the final film either. Frozen Empire's problem is that they crammed too much into it and alot of it seemed to rush by. I loved all the new characters like Lars, Patton, Melody and the firemaster but I would have liked to see more of Podcast and Lucky because they were more like bit part characters compared to Afterlife. They didn't have enough jokes either- I would have thought Phoebe would have tried out her jokes and sense of humour on Melody. I liked Melody she may have had an ulterior motive but at the end of the day she liked Phoebe- she even says "Does it have to be her?" I absolutely loved the scenes with Ray, Phoebe and Podcast where Ray seemed to get his mojo back it was like seeing Ray from 1984 again. McKenna Grace said she loved those scenes too so I wholeheartedly agree with her on that one! I love Gary goofing around and quoting the Ghostbusters song. Phoebe was the best thing in this film just as she was in Afterlife and McKenna Grace smashed it out of the park, I hope one day she wins the big awards and gets the recognition that she deserves because she is awesome. "Favourite dickless e.p.a agent now mayor" I love that line that was brilliant! I loved seeing Pecker back (I bet William Atherton is actually really interesting to talk with and I bet he's got lots of great stories to tell) and he did have a point about Phoebe a 15 year old girl (not being sexist here) who should be at school and in her spare time maybe working with Ray and Lars. Surely Callie and Gary would have thought along those lines too. I loved it at the end when Phoebe calls Gary "Dad"

I'm praying for an extended cut, but I just know we won't get it.

I tried to comment about a video I found (a facebook ad) which had footage cut that you hadn't featured but I think its getting removed because of the link. Anyways the advert is called "Next level ghosts call for next level gear" and in it are the usual clips but there is one clip where trevor says "do we have a ghost chopper?" and janine says "No, we dont have a ghost chopper..." A nod I thought to the cartoon where they did have a ghost chopper. Surprised they cut this as well, must have been a whole scene in the firehouse they have cut with the og characters there. madness

I really enjoyed the film but it really bothers me that we never see the family in the red jackets, especially since we see them in those all over the posters (and they look really good!) but for some reason not in the film at all, I wonder how the deleted scene would've fit in...

On second viewing I think the only thing it lacked was an army of ghosts montage. They totally wasted that idea.

Yes i thought I notice a few things not in the film, glad Im not nuts, kinda annoying when Studios do this. I feel like an extended cut might help the film a bit as I do feel it was cut down to hit the magic 2hr mark.

I loved the movie but I was highly disappointed how so many scenes were cut from this movie. Gil Kenan stated there won’t be a directors cut. He claims whaat we have is what we get but we will get deleted scenes. They cut so much

I enjoyed the movie overall, though I think Kumail Ali Nanjiani was out of place though. His character and lines just killed a few scenes tbh. Like in the finally is just kills the suspense when he comes out to do something. Otherwise I thought it was still a good movie.

Bill Murry "I would shower, shave, and hit the clubs" Lets be real. He never stepped foot in the club a day in his life. Maybe the strip club.

So annoyed about the deleted Red Jackets. Thought they would play a part and they would all suit up and explain they need to use them to brave the cold and there would be more scenes in the cold. That’s my biggest disappointment. I still loved the movie but so many deleted scenes and takes should have stayed in.

I hate to say it but I didn’t enjoy the film. I loved Afterlife (and of course GB1 & GB2) I was so hyped for this but It just didn’t do it for me.

I’m confused. The trailers were misleading. Didn’t they pass a ruling after Morbius that studios couldn’t mislead in their trailers like this or they’d be sued? So who’s going after Sony?
