Thank you very much tried this on my Giant Fathom E+3 today and can’t believe the speed it goes I can achieve 35 mph easily and hardly need to peddle these bikes are designed to go over 30+ mph from factory before I was getting overtaken by normal bikes and some eBikes and now I’m overtaking cars also if you do receive error try and readjust the sensor to align with the magnet I had this issue first and the red error light came on and fixed after readjustment to the sensor. Bike is a beast now and I enjoy riding it thank you once again.

@inyourears2596 Жыл бұрын
@Pablo Verstraete i done this now for almost 2 weeks and rode it for about 200km. The issue is there is red button blinking once in a while but not every ride maybe 1 out of 10 rides. All i have to do is turn off and turn on. Battery is also 15 to 20% from the original setting. But the bike is now absolutely faster which i love

Would this still work if you left the magnet, moved the sensor and bought a new magnet to put on the pedal?

Wow - that’s scary as shit. I’ve got the 2021 Giant ETrance. Paid lots of coin for it and wouldn’t feel comfortable at all with doing what you did. I know for sure I’d screw it up! I’ll wait until the warranty expires then hopefully find someone who know what they’re doing to do this for me !

I was a bicycle mechanic for years so no fear on my end. But yes, if you don't have a mechanical background, I would probably not give it a go.

Question, does “Giant” make a belt drive e-bike ? The shop where I bought my Giant Nutra has long closed ,and no one that I find local carriers “ Giant” , let alone the e-bike by Giant (77040).

Would it be easier to get a third party sensor and an extra magnet...then decoupled the wire from the rear sensor. Leave the old wire where it is originally from....then hook up the new wire to the new sensor and use the new magnet on the crank pedal. Sorry if by grammar is off...I'm buying a giant ebike and your video was helpful.

With the new position of the sensor did your have any issue in feeding it into the motor to make the connection as you could no longer run it inside the frame from the rear

None really. I just wound up the slack and stuffed it in there.

Hello, Did you have to take both crank arms off or did you just take the side the sensor is on off. And did you have to use a crank puller . Cheer man
@loudog31143 жыл бұрын
Mike Lack I think I pulled both but we these new style cranks you don’t need a puller.

Hi, do you think without changing the position of the sensor we could cheat the sensor by using 2 magnets on the spokes?
@loudog31143 жыл бұрын
It's not on the spoke, it's on the disc rotor. And two would just make it read as faster, not slower, so no dice.

As fast as you can pedal. I find 23ish mph to be the sweet spot, but it will go faster - 26/27.
