Giant Sand Dunes | Northland, New Zealand

3 жыл бұрынThis is our trip to the Giant Sand Dunes in Northland, New Zealand. At first, we thought New Zealand was mostly green and farmlands. But to our surprise, it has this desert-like landform where you can sandboard, walk on the edge, feel the fine sand, or just watch the dunes change shape right before your eyes.

This looks so lovely - those sand dunes are insane. i can't even imagine how hot the sand can be in the summer!

It was a nice place to play on the sand but as the signs always remind visitors of putting sunscreen beforehand and even if it is cloudy day, it is recommended to put some screen protection cream. Warmest regards and many thanks for your comments. Cheers!

I didn't think NZ would have sand dunes because what I typically see on other videos are seas, mountains, valleys. Wonderful sight! :)

That looks so fun! I think I'd enjoy sliding down on one of those boards. We do this in Canada in the winter on our snow covered hills, but I've never tried on sand dunes before. Looks like it would be hot 🔥

Yes it was fun to be playing on the dunes. The UV is quite high I reckon so it is recommended to put sunscreen before going out on the dunes. Best regards.

It's a great place indeed especially for people looking for action. Sliding down was just amazing feeling. There were times during our visit that the clouds covered us in a way and it was not that hot so we enjoyed it. When you do come to this place, just don't forget to put sunscreen. Really cool! We did the same in France and made a video about the Dune of Pilat. They are the biggest in Europe. Are those also the biggest in New Zealand?

We too were surprised when we saw this sand dune here in New Zealand. We thought New Zealand is all trees, grass, cows and sheep only. It's an amazing place indeed. Kind regards.
