I've been through a lot medically...and then a car accident. Now disabled and have a traumatic brain injury...... hearing this..... I hear it with my heart and soul not my ears. Glad to hear you made it through regardless of the challenges man! I was in a accident around 2019 that broke my l1 vertebrate and bulged a few discs. Doctors said I would be lucky not to tweak it and end up paralyzed. 6 months of physical therapy, a $2000 back brace, some pain meds (when needed), and just the grit to prove them wrong pulled me out of it and made me stronger. I sat in bed for 5 weeks not able to really move. Hearing your story reminds me of that grit and never say die mentality! Stories like yours and gifted hands are truly inspiring about the human will to continue pushing

*i can't forget how i got this song. i was sleeping on a stone slab on a boardwalk in jersey city, not homeless but sleep deprived because i have a tight, packed schedule right now in my life. needed sleep wherever i could get it and the stone slab was gonna be it. benches all over for people to sit while others stroll along, right. so there i am, sleeping, when very loud music woke me up, and it was this song. i was immediately taken by it. took out my phone and started to livestream to record it so i could look it up later. the song finished and i fell right back to sleep, the other songs playing loudly having no effect lol. as with many other songs i fall in love with, i try to identify what it is that makes a song my favorite. sometimes it's the music, an instrument, sometimes it's the story, sometimes it's the singer's voice but with this song it's the vocals, the way he dances his lyrics. the piano is great, i love the bass (it's just right, in my opinion) but i really love the way the words move.*
