Just so everyone knows, they made 2 VERSIONS FOR SOLO LEVELING, the one broadcasted in Japan has changed names, and THE INTERNATONAL ONE HAS THE ORIGINAL NAMES (VA's recorded the same lines twice basically)

@@noodle3972tbh if I hadn’t already read the manhwa I may have preferred it. For whatever reason Japanese names are just much easier to remember compared to Korean or Chinese. Same reason I much prefer the Japanese names for Kingdom to the Chinese.

Ive actually been enjoying "Wrong Way to use Healing." There is a certain amount of realism to the idea that you could use healing magic to cram years worth of physical training into a few weeks in order to essentially become a stamina monster. I just hope they dont make him ridiculously overpowered compared to the actual heroes he transported with.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of Solo Leveling and all I can say is that A-1 is cooking a delicious meal. I'm excited to see how they will adapt the best fights in SL. So far I'm satisfied. Solo Leveling is my favorite action manhwa so I was kinda worried about this adaptation but looks like they are doing it justice

Also they are adding a lot of scenes from light novel to fix the lack of story telling and no development for side characters in the manhwa version since this were the main weakness of the manhwa. I am keeping my hope up till igris fight.

7th Time Loop Villainess is great. But Gushing Over Magical Girls has awakened something in me. I've already bought the ropes and a whip. And Mashle has already taken a spot in the top five all time. It's not just the well-done political schemes, or the oblivious and adorable Saitama Potter, or the fresh worldbuilding. The sound team deserves the highest praises. Bangers after bops on top of jams.

I learned about Bravern, that it was a successor to the Brave series, done by Obari, then that GaoGaiGar was on Crunchyroll all in about a span of half an hour, and I just got more hyped about it.

A Sign of Affection is one of my favourite mangas. Just plain wholesome and no fucking around and blue balling us with the romance, a healthy relationship between adults where one happens to be deaf and the other, happens to want to learn about other languages and cultures, sign language included.

It's easily offensive trash to me. mangaka barely made any effort to understand deafness as an illness with the amount of mistakes and instead commodified it. Take away that commodity and it's a cheap tumblr Twilight/VampireDiaries teenager escapist fanfic. Actually a rare WORSE story than Twilight. It's for Kpop fangirls who only care about looks

They intentionally went with Real Robot stuff in the promotional meterial, and the the last thing trailer show is the name of director, Masami Obari. Along with the name with word "Yuuki" and heroic looking logo, it screams "I'm am a Super Robot show".

At the end of the day I'm sure folks will be like, "you need to check out Bravern" if it is compelling enough. A little sad he didn't give it one episode though. Dear Gigguk, as a fellow anime enjoyer who just so happens to have no more free time to catch up with everything that is coming out in a a year or even a single season it's so good to see you still doing these and give your qualified opinion on some of the spice or the hidden jems. I just wondered: Would it be possible for you to make a recap (maybe about the last 2-3 seasons/years maybe) where you show of some "forgotten" or not talked about stuff in a 40 min episode just like this one but only undiscovered/overlooked Shows? With all the new stuff coming out it maybe is time to remember what was left out in the past but should not be forgotten^^ Greetings from Germany :)

Man, Sengoku Youko looks hype. A little nervous to see White Fox launching a huge new 37 episode series though. I really want them to be the ones doing Re:Zero S3 and be ready to bring their A game. I just hope this show doesn’t end up pushing Re:Zero back even further, and I’m worrying over nothing.

It's basically a wuxia novel but with Japanese mythology. They were slated to have 24 episodes but the team are big fans of Mizukami's works, so they managed to talk the production board into a 37 episode run.

It was my most anticipated show of the entire season. And I knew nothing about anything other than what i normally do which is looking at the cover art. The title which sounding cool. Reading the synopsis and looking at the show tags. But for whatever reason for the first time while cruising the MAL plan to watch list I watched a trailer for a show which was this. Metallic rouge and Sasaki and peeps had the best 1st ep imo with witch and the beast behind it. But up to this point in sengoku it has been amazing imo and started in my top 5 and still in my top 5 up to this point. I know absolutely nothing about the manga but so far it's been good and this newest ep really did a good job of showing more of what's to come which looks promising

That's the danger of bait-and-switch shows, I suppose - a good switch isn't spoiled in the promotional material, but adhering to that principle also means it doesn't matter how good that switch is if you fail to sell the initial bait.

Chained Soldier has slow start, be it with its Action or Ecchi plot. So, it getting low score early on is understandable (plus the CGI is average, which is also causing it to lose rating).

for doctor elise she lived in the historical time and then was reborn in the modern world (korea cuz its a manhwa) and she became a top surgeon and then when she died she regressed back to her original life in the historical timeline with memories of all her lives basically.

It's incredible how much effort A1 studio is putting for Solo leveling. They are adding ton of new scenes that weren't even in the novel to flesh out the world and side characters. At this point they are telling the story better than the Manhwa. Next episode will show us what they can do in terms of action and animation. I have no doubt they'll do justice bcoz big animators like Yoshihiro Kanno and Takashi Torii will be participating in the next episode.

Something I really appreciated early on was the extra scenes for sure. It really helps you learn characters like Cha Hae-In and even the S rank gate arc well before its even mentioned in the manhwa. A1 is doing an amazing job setting the stage as it keeps these characters/plot lines in our heads early on so we won't feel lost or confused when they eventually do become relevant.

For me personally, they didn't add anything. However I do think that they'll have to tease some of the world and characters to keep watchers interested. Solo-leveling is very centred around one character and the story doesn't really open up within 3 episodes. I also think they'll need (atleast) a second season, so they'll also have to tease a bit to hype that up.

The mahwa got carried heavily by the arts quality, the fans didn't even realize how mid the anime would be if the side characters got the same useless development they got in the mahwa. Even the MC girl despite being glazed as the top 3 hunters in Korea, got zero feat. She just serve as damsels in distress for MC to show his power, boring azz plot.

True, but I also really like Sengoku Youko. I personally like it more compared to Biscuit Hammer (although I think it has the disadvantage of being the most old-school in execution and took quite a long time to really took off, something that might not suit modern audience well)

ELISE IS SO GOOODDDDD! I LOVE THE MANHWA SO MUCH. The doctor aspect is pretty good because she used modern medical knowledge (and iirc the illness is very much real like tbc, etch) but did it right (no bs operation done without sterilization like some story I’ve read) The romance is also nice but I love her journey as a doctor more. If you don’t mind shojou anime and want to watch medical story (but of course with a touch of fiction), I’ll recommend to check this story. Small spoiler about the world: . . . . . . Her past life country is actually in the same world. So this it’s like reincarnation to her past life, not to game/novel world.
