Proposing at someone‘s wedding is equivalent to announcing you’re having a baby at someone’s baby shower. Neither is okay. I’m glad the brother and sister planned this ahead of time.

I think there’s a way to gracefully include the sibling... the SISTER DID IT PERFECTLY ! She made it seem like it was just a regale reception... and she surprised her brothers gf WITH HER BROTHER ! They were both in on it... it’s one thing to be included in the sharing... it’s another thing to be caught off guard cuz then that causes drama

@@isabellejoseph3387 They were okay with the proposal because the brother planned it with the bride. They weren't okay with someone proposing without speaking to the couple getting married. Some were okay with the idea of sharing the day themselves if it was someone close to them personally. They were fine with a proposal at a birthday party. They weren't fine with a pregnancy announcement at a baby shower. Idk why it was confusing but apparently it was.

If you decide to use someone else's décor, planning, and their moment to make it about you honestly I'd have to question what kind of family/ friend they really were. People often dont even ask cause they know the answer and knew it was wrong

Man. This is the first Girl Chat Vault thats been posted in a while, and it honestly made me feel pretty sentimental and nostalgic seeing this setting.. Very surreal watching it all, viewing their past selves and knowing all this happened before the Pandemic, and how different everything was then compared to now. The tradition of catching the bouquet was so REAL to me too! I caught mine at my sister's wedding and my dad called for it and prayed over it. I got married next. Then at my wedding my friend who caught mine got married next. And then at her wedding the next friend that caught it got married next and then one more catch and she too got married next! True story guys! The bouquet had 5 levels of brides!!

My cousin announced her pregnancy at my wedding. We have a huge family spread all over, and we rarely get to be all together. She very subtly informed everyone, but it took no attention away from me and my day. Everyone knew they had flown in for me. I was told about it the next morning. The only thing that bummed me out was that they'd already taken off for their flight, and I couldn't congratulate her and her husband!

Will Bennett well... there will be a few new in- studio shows airing next week but they were taped pre-corona... so like September October and November takings... those episodes will air Monday , Tuesday and Friday... Wednesday and Thursday are at home shows and the week after is gonna be a short week... so look forward to the last 7 episodes of Season 6!

There’s only one rule when it comes to proposing at someone else’s event. Make sure the people who the event is about and are hosting are OK with it. If they are not OK with it, you cannot do it.

Yeah, the company is paying for his seat, so of course money is no consideration, but for a spouse who does not need to go on the business trip in the first place, money might matter. Just because he goes on business trips, doesn't mean he's wealthy and depending on how many of his trips she goes on, that can get really expensive...

V Lo like I said, I love travel - (and am incredibly stubborn) so if I want something bad enough - sweetie, I’m going to find a way to get it on my own - whatever means necessary. So to properly respond to to your comment; in the case that that was the situation; like I said in the original post - I would just buy the ticket out of my own pocket. I have savings just for plane tickets, so it wouldn’t be an issue for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ Btw, I also work for a financial institution and have situations to travel for work - so if I had the means, I would do everything in my power to bring my boyfriend/ husband along with me. *I’m not one of those über traditional women who thinks my man should pay for everything for me. I have absolutely no problem paying for my man if the situation warrants it*

As a frequent traveler, 1st class is worth it if you've never flown before, or don't travel alot. Business class is nice but the difference between coach and business isn't that big.

My little sister got married on my birthday and i didnt know the date of the wedding until i saw the invitation. I was a little upset, to be honest. But then i went to the wedding with one of my best friends and it was open bar and the bartender saw my I.D to see it was my birthday and he made me some GOOD drinks that night!
