Simply Amazing. Although the soil is excellent for carving out structures- the amount of work and creativity that goes into these days is way beyond other "bushcrafters" on KZfaq. The video production (shot selection, editing) is also absolutely first class! Well done!

That is unique ground your digging in. It's very tough, but also has natural rebar built in, with roots and dead trees. I would be worried about a cave in, but the ground material is self supporting. Have you ever had a dig collapse on top of you?

The cave in for this type of tunnel/dig is rare, there are specific height and shape requirements for these to avoid that. :) Plus, they aren't deep enough under the ground for the weight of the dirt above to get too much in the way of cave-ins. She is amazing though, isn't she? And yes, that dirt is fab.

The clay deposits she's digging in doesn't have any large rocks and is what allows her to dig without supports or cave-ins.

Now, if I was her, I would have these all marked out, and use them as a tourism thing where people can get to sleep in something similar to the tunnels in Vietnam, without the poisonous snakes, unexploded ordnance etcetera. If I had the money to do it, I would totally be there for a holiday.

What amazes me is she's doing all this with basically gardening tools. Just imagine what underground city she could build with construction equipment. The only thing i would do is always have the entrance hidden and some types of airflow. Curious if there's wild animals in her area another concern for me.

Eletric light, clothes not dirty enough, there are many people helping behind the scenes, no one alone is capable to built one house per day without tearing and dirtying the clothes that are not used by natives of forest, and natives of forest don t use socks neither change the socks several times in the same day or hour. It sa cenografic building.

NO way is she doing this by herself ... there is a team of workers and a architect supervising the dig. An excavator was probably used to dig the hole that's why no big rocks.
