My husband is convinced that weekends away with the girls involve pillow fights in our nighties. Sorry, honey, it's eating carbs, drinking wine and diet coke in our sweats and yoga pants.

My first girls night of 2022 is next Thursday and I totally relate to this!! My hubby thinks just like Penn and I had him watch this to show that most of us just want to catch up and share life stuff with our besties. Being almost 50, I have no interest at all in all that nonsense of my 20s. I’ve got 3 kids grown and 3 more still in the house. I’m TIRED! 😂😂😂

This is how my bachelorette party went. Too introverted to actually party or to do the night scene, so just dinner and conversations with 3 other people.

I'm 25, I have a one year old and I can't wait for this stage of life. We live in a spa town with a bunch of old people visiting and they have these parties that start at 5 pm and end around 9 or 10 pm. I always tell my husband this is what I want in a party and he thinks I'm joking but I'm dead serious

My best girlfriend lives in France, & I'm in Mississippi, so when we're actually in the same country, this is absolutely our girls' night! We'll spend a couple of hours at a restaurant, then move to a coffee shop that has outdoor tables & spend another couple of hours there (so we're not hogging prime real estate without paying rent). And, yep, we've both just recently passed 50, & it is AAALLLLLLLLLL about perimenopause, bodily changes, life hacks, the stupidity of fashion for 50+ ladies who don't want to look 20-something or 80-something (yet), medical commiseration, jealousy over foods available in different places, etc.

It seriously is like twice a year and yeah, we have to talk for 4 hours just to catch up! Forget about a girls’ weekend away! If we stay our girlfriends in FL…we lay on the beach too & add a day so we have a couple of days of beach time. Penn, if you’re worried about guys hitting on your wife, that happens at the supermarket at our age. (Seriously. At least here in Canada 🇨🇦). Also, sunscreen on your hands is an excellent idea, but keeping it in your car may not be - the heat in a car can destroy sunscreen’s effectiveness. Not sure where you can check this, but I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to expose sunscreen to heat.

OMG, id be thrilled if girls night was a fight club or video games. It is always health, kids, work etc and some appropriate lady activity like painting, or baking. I like those things, but i alao like a good game of Halo, Orcs Must Die, Dwarves in Space (damn cant remember the title)...

Guess I'm an outlier, I used to go to lunch with friends, and would sit there while they went on and on about husbands, kids, the latest health issue, the weather, etc. and think "How do I get out of here without making everyone mad?". 😄
