I was in shock when I recieved my Girsan. I thought from the price that it would be a "cheap" pistol. It is far from feeling cheap. It is actually one of the most comfortable pistols I have ever fired.
@757optim4 жыл бұрын
I had a conversation with an FFL about a gun made in Turkey and he started listing shotgun brands that are actually made there. That info and Canik reviews suggest they are capable manufacturers. Unless political issues are a concern and/or "buy American" (always a good idea) is at issue, the Girsan is a very appealing foray into handgun optics, without selling the first born.

Comparing a military duty carry pistol trigger vs a competition pistol such as shadow is a big mismatch. I own one of this mc28 sa and running around 2000+ shells and still shooting perfectly even with reloads. For the price of less than $300, this gun is a dependable CC and home defense. And so far, the finished is still intact I just have to clean and lube it after target shooting before keeping it in the box and for the trigger it's more lighter now roughly 4-4.5lbs which is an ideal pull for a not competition gun.

J B I lucked up on a deal from CDNN out Texas on a pair of the Compact version for $445 delivered, including FFL fee. I couldn't believe the value I had been able to take advantage of. I own half a dozen Glocks, an array of Hk's, Sig's, Taurus, Beretta, Smith's revolvers and autos and I carry and use as a truck gun the pair I bought. I am really happy, and I am not sacrificing reliability or function without having $500 to a $1000 on me or locked in the Jeep. Check out Greg Cote online for Girsan magazines at $15.95 each if you're not already aware.

Great vid. Thanks for the range footage and review. I bought one last month. I think we shop at the same store ($289 for the black model). I also bought the MC28TX 5" ported/optic ready slide kit. I broke mine in with snaps caps and probably lost half a pound on the trigger. It breaks like glass.... bulletproof glass. It makes it jerk a little, but like you said, you can improve your overall form with all guns by getting good with this gun. If you're an instructor, this would be a pretty good classroom/student gun. I use the small grip and it fits like the medium on my M&P40 m2.0, the girsan medium is like the m&p m-large grip. At least with my average hands. I can say that it doesn't fit in the Blade-tech Signature owb M&P M2.0 holsters. Economical Gen1 M&P holsters might be harder to find in-store as the M&P range kits all came with a good one. As stated, for the $$$, it's a pretty good firearm. For me it was between this and the SD9VE. I have no regrets with this pistol. Thanks again for the video. Peace & Plenty 😎✌️

Lanz Shooting supplies in St. Ann has them at that price. Also, although it fits the BladeTech Signature series M&P ver 1, the slide profile on the MC28 is a bit wider than the M&P. Therefore, more friction pulling the pistol from the holster, even when adjusted to where the screws are almost fully backed out.

Jonathan Oakley awesome! I may order another one for $289 because I am very impressed with the build quality, the slide, the metal guide rod, hammer forged barrel, manufactured in a Military facility to tight tolerances. This pistol is no joke, it passed all NATO torture testing... for $289 I’m getting another one to just put away because I don’t think we will see them this cheap for much longer. I’m actually very impressed with the finish of the slide. Beautifully machined and I’ve heard from Girsan gun owners that they don’t wear that much and their finishes are very durable. Again, it’s made for duty use and was even sent for Military tests somewhere I cannot recall right now. You can’t beat this price. The metal sights, the flat spring on the metal guide rod.... if you guys want I will do a review with mine. Just let me know with a reply. Girsan is a great company. Their Regard model, or Yavuz 16 it’s also called (the Beretta 92FS clone) is actually used in a few countries as an official duty pistol, and based on the reviews I’ve seen on that model, the finish doesn’t wear as fast as a real Beretta 92. Pretty cool considering it’s less than half the price of the Beretta. It’s my next pistol purchase. Just deciding what finish I want. Maybe all stainless.

Great gun, however like other people have said getting parts for this gun is very hard, I know spectre ballistics in Alberta can order stuff in but you will be waiting awhile they don't have them on hand. Biggest complaint and I see this with many people is the sights coming off, I know myself when I first got the gun first 100 rounds and front sights came off even after I pre-checked and lock tight them as many people said to before hand. I've seen a few people say they lost them completely at outdoor ranges they messaged Girsan directly and they sent them free replacements. Some people said they had been told no by Girsan they won't send sights to them and they ended up buying the Optic ready slide for it, few people said the only place they could get parts was spectre ballistics which will run you 45 bucks + tax / shipping and if you want rushed order / delivery you are looking at 30 - 60 dollars ontop of that.

(I’ve DQ’d twice because of forgetting to engage my safety so no more competition with CZ’s). I have a few buddies who have grown tired of winning so they game with NP29’s and other Chinese junk, (they all work of course) and barely modify them. I may have to buy one and clean it up a bit and pass it to one of my buddies 10 minutes before an event just to challenge my buddy Carl. I did this already with a Chinese 226 and almost beat him. 😊
