Gitzos are ridiculously expensive in the UK too, in fact everything is ridiculously expensive over here for no reason.

Steven, you can unlock and lock all three locks at the same time for your new Gitzo. I also ordered a GT1545T, it will be delivered tomorrow. I already have Gitzo GT2531 and GT1127 Mark II. The GT1545 is going to replace my old GT1127 Mark II which is a little bit too long for my backpack (three sections). By the way, besides Arca Swiss B1, I also have bullhead model BH-55, BH-40 and BH-25 from RRS. I am going to sell my Arca Swiss B1 and RRS BH-55, as they are too heavy and overkill for my camera setup - Lumix S1R with the most heavy lens Lumix 70-200 F2.0. I tried, the BH-25 looks tiny, but it is strong enough for the S1R + 70-200mm F2.8. The BH-25 is surprising sturdy and strong for its size and weight.

I really like what you do and it's always big blue thumb quality to support you.

Excellent review, thank you. You should definitely switch to the RSS ball head & their L bracket for your camera. I use a large Gitzo matched with an RSS 55H ball head for landscape photography. I do lots of long exposures with my Nikon DSLR & Zeiss primes and this setup is rock solid and functions trouble free in the field. Recently I purchased a Leica monochrome range finder with two lenses and have purchased the GT1545T kit to match with the Leica set. It is a pleasure to have the option to go out and shoot with a small form factor kit that packs so much power but designed with simplicity. Although I will still use the Nikon kit for specific landscape or architectural shooting. The Leica will not displace my Nikon, they will be happy friends.
