This was no local flood. I'm from kenya and I'm completely with cliff on this one... I absolutely have many Ways to express myself. My culture does not get in the way... The standard of life here may be different, and so too the opportunities, but the idea that we don't have our own happiness here, or a high moral center is hogwash... However there are annual sabbath days mentioned in Leviticus 23:15 and clearly these are the sabbath days that have been abrogated, but not the 7th day sabbath of God’s 4th Commandment. Colossians 2:16-17 King James Version 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Leviticus 23:15 King James Version 15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: The other reason given for breaking God’s 4th commandment is they say that as the early church met and worshipped on the Sunday, and because the Lord rose on the Sunday, the day was therefore changed from Saturday to Sunday. Let’s consider this. They were still going to the synagogue on the sabbath as it was their custom until they eventually got booted out. If this was wrong then why did Jesus do it? Paul who was a great evangelist who could sell ice cream to the Eskimos was always there reasoning with the Jews. Ok Peter and the rest of the disciples didn’t have his abilities but they also got their share of converts. But on Sunday it was a day when they could all get together as group by themselves and have church. No big deal. There was a time when I used to keep the sabbath on the Saturday and Sunday. The Catholic Church changed the day. That’s it,full stop period. However if we realise that we’ve probably got it wrong with this Sunday keeping jazz and we aren’t doing anything about it, then have a little mercy on the atheists who also realise they are in error, but are too ashamed to make the change.
