FYI, PS3 ISOs dumped to a folder will play from WebMAN MOD v1.47.45 if that folder is placed in the GAMES folder on hdd0 rather than the PS3ISO folder. This is handy since IRISMAN dumps games to a folder when using the Copy function.

The ps2 games are working flawlessly but the ps3 games are getting the error code 80010017 whenever I try to load, I’ve seen this same problem on some subreddits but no one has a clear solution, please help you’re my only hope 🙏

webman and webman mod never truly worked for me on my cfw ps3 correctly, im using multiman now for playing ps1+2+3 which works flawlessly

I was successfully able to install cfw to my slim PS3 and I used this tutorial to add Tony Hawk's American Wasteland to my console and it plays perfectly! Just have one question though. I plan on putting more games on my console but I won't have hard drive space for all of them. How can I use an external hard drive to save ISOs on it and play them off my PS3? Do I just plug it in and go or are there addition steps I need to take?

The problem with the PS3 and all consoles is you can’t upgrade your graphics card like you can do on your desktop PC so if your not using your PS3 to unlock trophies on PS3 games then your just wasting your time the PS4 is a lot better so is the PS5 if you try to play PS2 games on the PS3 well get ready for it to break PS4 never broke cause it only played PS4 games but my Xbox one did break cause I was playing Xbox and Xbox 360 games on it learned my lesson

WinSCP is much better than Filezilla as, unlike FileZilla, Winscp does consistency checks and retries failures automatically. Highly recommend Blaine. ☺️ Incredible video as always.

You don’t need to enter port 21 - as it’s the default ftp port FileZilla (or any other ftp client) will always try that unless you specify something else

Hi Blaine, very nice tips! I tried it with a PS2 game: Do you know a fix for the game Castlevania Curse of Darkness? There's a barrier in the first stage that you can not pass. It looks like some kind of copy protection. O_o

(I'm completely new to this) I bought a jailbroken phat ps3 with evilnat cfw... My brother went through some buttons on sertings one time I haven't watched him using the console,and it somehow made the Wedman games folder missing, but the multiman is still there so we can still play games, however, upon trying to install pkg's, the console won't install it, just blinking 0% bar will appear before telling us it can't install:

only downside is 1.5 tb is max internal and ps2 games only work on internal hdd

I can't get my PS3 slim to play PS3 games, but PSX games play. Hen 4.90 and latest version of Webman. If I attempt to start any game without updating, they will start but go back to the XMB menu with an error message. If I update a game and start it, I'll get a black screen; or with Dark Sector it'll get to save indicator message screen and stop there but the system doesn't crash. If I close the game, system will reboot. Any other game causes the system to crash.

I deleted PS3 webman but the dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtp file is restored automatically. and the fan noise gets louder when the game is opened. I reset my ps3 and the problem still persists.

Hey Blaine great video! I've got an odd issue here. After installing full version of WebMan, it wouldn't let me get into the webman games folder in xmb. I tried restarting it, reinstalling, refreshing, i checked and it was the latest version installed compatible with my slim cfw, but to no avail. The folder to access settings like webman setup or to access the games from xmb just didn't work at all, like i couldnt even get into it. If anyone else could help with the issue that would be great. Any possible solutions are appreciated!

You got me set up with my PS3 and was able to jailbreak it thanks to your other guides, so thank you, I truly appreciate it. I do have one issue though, if you or anyone in the comments could help me out it would be fantastic. The issue is that I can't transfer PS2 games that are over 4GB to my FAT32 USB, this issue is non existent with my PS3 games as (PS3 Disc Dumper) breaks the game into folders which can be transferred to FAT32. Is there a thing like (PS3 disc dumper) that I can use on PS2 games that are over 4GB? I tried to use FTP like FileZilla but it won't find my PS3. Also I encrypt and turn the PS2 games into pkg files so I can play them on my PS3, would this process of encrypting and packaging ISO have to stop in the event I find a tool like PS3 Disc dumper or would this step still be necessary?

Ive still gotten Yakuza 1/2 and other games to work out well on HEN (super slim) but indeed you have to encrypt the games so you can play them. To me, I get better performance emulating PS2 from the PC. Shadow of the colossus and friends run too slowly on the PS3 to be viable. But Yakuza plays well on PS3.
