Hi Scotty, great vid man. I’ve used Hyperdip a couple of times now on emblems and I’m about to use they brand new colour “Brass Monkey” on my wheels. When I first used the can, I found that I was “stippling” this is where your finger interrupts the spray pattern and causes dripping/splattering. My solution for this was to use the plastic spray can trigger, wow, what a difference. Not only did it completely eliminate the stippling, it also added so much more control over tue spray application. I would recommend this tool to anyone using a spray can. Also, it’s a great idea to keep the cans in warm water during usage and between shaking. Thanks again for a great vid, I’ll be adding the vid of mine next week when I get to remove the wheels and set them up at standing height for ease of application.

If you want a gloss finish you need to check out Superwrap. Glossy straight out the can!

Fyi I put a ladder on a couple to saw horses. That way the tire sitting up and you spray without worrying about drips and tire is at waist height.

Personal preference? I always try to spray on vertical surfaces...easier to spot coating thickness buildup (for me). Also, the need to rotate helps deter the sagging effect where horizontal just sets there (promoting a tendency to sag?). Also, keep a rag handy for frequent cleaning of the spray tip. Any accumulating at the tip will eventually be picked up and flung onto the freshly painted surfaces. (Used to recondition old military aircraft cockpit panels and instruments). Thumbs 👍btw!

Outstanding project. I know all too well about the drops when I sprayed my stripes. That is so awesome that the overspray comes off the tires that well. It turned out really well and that’s a great price for the project.

I believe they need to be sprayed while the wheels are vertical. That will stop the drip on the wheels.

They came out great! I think the newer models are coming out with those wheels in all black. They sure remind me of those wheels at least.

Try spraying some glossifer on them. Maybe that would give the glossy look you are looking for! I think they would turn out great

Hi sir I'm baz from Canada sorry it's very late to say this but it wasn't the nozzle it's your mistakes bcuz you should clean up the nozzle every now and then that way you will never get a drops on your paint thank you so much

They just dropped a Hyper Dip gloss like a week ago!

Aerosol cans are not supposed to be used spraying down thats why you have drops. If wheels were mounted on car when spraying there would have been no problem.

Nice work there. Next time you spray wheels, try spraying them in a vertical position. That way your spray can is gonna face forward instead of down so that if you do get those drops from the nozzle, they will fall on the floor and not on the wheel

How does it hold up when you take it for new tyres..wouldnt the tyre machine scratch it right off?

Please let us know how it holds up with car washes, getting new tires, etc. I have the kit and I'll be doing it in the Spring of 21. My plan is to test it out first on a panel I have laying around and then see how well it takes ceramic coating. I know you have to use Dip Armor first, but that doesn't work for HyperDip, so I'll be testing it out and I'll probably post a vid then.

Yeah it’s not the can the way you spray it it’s not the best thing todo it’s better to spray up words because facing down dosen’t spray well just spray with the rims standing up and will have a better spray
