I'm shocked that AX finally had a not-awful experience. It's been like 8 years since I last went and I had such a bad time that I told myself I'm never going to a con that big again. I felt the same way about PAX East when it started making the Boston convention center feel claustrophobic (circa 2014). Maybe if it's not prohibitively expensive I'll try going to a bigger convention again in the next year or so.
