I first played this when I was young and naive. I actually bought every word he was saying and followed out the entire quest convinced I was the good guy on the edge of uncovering this secret plot.

I’ve never played the full quest. I always end up killing him when we meet the first time. I go out of my way to do it too lol. I also love this quest basically became Glarthir talking to himself and following these people around. Then he goes out and kills them himself. This all happened in glarthirs mind thinking he was having someone else do his deeds. The guard even at one point says theres a psyopath on the loose. Who was glarthir.

the oblivion bounty system is so strange, when you killed Davide you earned a 40 gold bounty of assault as Davide was there to witness it, but once you struck him again, he died before he could increase your bounty by 1000, the fine for murder, apparently, you also were not in their home long enough to earn the 5 Gold bounty for Trespassing

Skingrad is my favorite city in all of TES, so far.

Man finds man due to a job spying on said man, he gets told that this guy wants nothing to do with him and so he goes and murders said man because a short crazy guy with pointy ears offered him a thousand gold. If you want to kill someone in Oblivion and do not want a bounty or DB quests use a frenzy spell on them. The spell doesn't cause harm and thus is not considered an assault and the NPC will attack you or the closest NPC and thus if you kill them it isn't murder but self defense.

seeing you fail both speechcraft and lockpicking, the two easiest Elder Scrolls minigames, gave me a stroke.

I learned how to break the speechcraft mini game super early and it always confuses me when people say they don't get it. 1. click all four options once, and listen to what they say . there is always one very positive and one very negative. just watch the number, ignore the stupid faces. 2.the wheel has one big wedge, and one small wedge, and you can only click each option once as it rotates. 3. if the small wedge is on a negative option click it, if the the big one is on a positive option click it. 4. if you don't have a good option click one of the less negative or less positive options to rotate the wheel so you can click a big wedge on very positive or the small wedge on very negative. just hurry and click all four spaces. repeat, it only takes like 60 sec. to max someone's disposition. is this a terrible mini game yes, yes it is. But you can always max out someone's disposition in like less than a minute
