I actually kinda liked the raspy voice Yayoi had in the English dub. Oddly enough I think it fit her character perfectly. Since she is naturally shy and soft spoken, she doesn't have much bass in her voice because she never really spoke up until she joined the group. Then when she had her moments of speaking up, her voice would start to get a little cracked because she's not use to raising her voice. So I kind of think that voice was perfect for her. Just my opinion though. Honestly I think all the girls voice actors were fine. Laura Bailey is a magical girl herself, so of course naturally she's gonna fit in. The rest of them were alright, nothing stood out from them to me. Candy I swear is the cutest thing in either dub, so that was a plus.

The thing that bothers me about Glitter Force is that people are now thinking the old Smile Precure is the dub, and when the Smile team is featured in All Stars movies, it is Glitter Force having a crossover with another show!

Yeah, I don't mind this dub either. Though the first episode kept giving me flashbacks to the DiC dub of Sailor Moon. Which makes it more ironic that Cloe/Breeze is voiced by Ami/Mercury's newest dub actress.

The real only complaint I have for this adaptation is the music. I really enjoyed the transformation music in the original version. Oh, and darkening the screens from time to time. The colors are some of the best I have ever seen.

I am still *furious* they cut out that one beautifully touching Peace episode. Easily my favorite out of the season, and Yayoi isn't even my favorite character. As for other major complaints, mostly about the dramatic darkening of random scenes, annoyingly cheesy lines they say during transformations and a few about the incessant random and nonsensical name changes (what's wrong with calling Candy a fairy? or the original Cure names? I'm genuinely confused). Oh yeah, and that one spoiler-filled scene they decided to include as the very first scene of the very first episode. Filled a few plotholes, spoiled all the transformations and their Princess forms... yeah no. Other then all that, I can somewhat stand the dub. Several of the episodes were actually done quite well. 4Kids did worst, but hell yeah, Saban could have done much better.

Both versions forgot about the entire Southern Hemisphere when it comes to the spring-themed cure. We exist!

yo homeboy I felt mostly the same way about this dub. i'm still a slight bit upset that they stole the name cure breeze but I'll get over it eventually. it's surprising how well the genre shots translated so well. a good number of those lines had me actually laughing pretty hard. the voice acting did exactly what it was supposed to do which was grow on you after you adapt to the fact that it's in English. also did you notice that they toned down some of the DBZ-esque action in certain episodes?

I watched this with my friend because it looked stupid. Now we're addicted. Help us.

The only thing that pisses me off about glitter force is that they called it a netflix original. The first time i saw that while watching made me upset because they just dubbed an anime whats so original about that? But anyways you've made me slightly open up the door of opportunity for watching glitter force

One reason they may have skipped the Comedy Duo episode is they may not have had the rights to use it due to license reasons. Honestly the only reason I see for them still doing 20 per season was they were originally going to air on Nick, then switched last moment to Netflix. I also hope this opens the way for more series, I haven't had this much fun stuff to watch since Fox kids and Kids WB were still things.

Actually, I think the reason behind the third skipped episode is because of the name changes. In the original episode, they discuss the meanings behind each of the girls' names. Since they have western names in the adaptation, it prevents them from adapting the context of the episode.

Who come there are people supporting and defending these bad dubs have they forgotten what 4Kids did to the anime shows they touched? 3:59/4:00 I LOVE Akaoni (Brute)! He's such a silly guy and an absolute cutie as a pixie. He's my favorite character, and honestly, Toei Animation did him dirty. He has minimal merchandise, coming down to a handful of playing cards and a collectible button pin. Also his pixie form as Oninin is ADORABLE. He deserved more screen time.

As for not skipping the creepy expressions of when Joker was gathering Bad/Negative Energy for Pierott from the PreCure, it was kinda necessary cuz, you know... It sorta impossible to skip the scene without the story getting messed up or whatever, so yeaaaahhhhh...

I actually like Glitter Force. It's still cute, and I generally prefer dubs vs subs, and it did get me back into Pretty Cure (Futari Wa Pretty Cure was dubbed in English, but that's when I stopped Pretty Cure).

I don't know if I can grow into it! Hearing them say "Glitter force" remind of power rangers wild force! Plus they mess up Cure peace transformation phase! Puppies and kitten urgh! Not even close to rock paper and scissors.

Glitter Force is underrated. It is a good show that just makes some silly mistakes some times. Let’s go over the voice acting. Emily’s voice actor is great and totally believable with emotional speeches and is really deep and fitting and honestly sounds like a leader. It is great voice but can sometimes be to high pitched and artifactial but most of the t8me great Kelsey has a great playful voice 8 just wish she could have a unquie accent like Akane. Lily has a cute interesting low pitched voice but I understand why people might get annoyed with her sometimes. Aphril has the one of the bes5 voice acting jobs. She has a fitting deep high pitched voice. Chloe pretty much the same. Pop is same does not always do well with emotional moments. Candy’s can be annoying but overall cute. The villians are very well acted especially Brooha and Ulric. Brute has a unique vocie of a du,b muscle character. Rascal is good to. The main villian’s vocie is terrible though. It just sounds like an old grandpa. Overall a solid cast. My complaints are sometimes they take away episodes for stupid reasons. Most are forgivable but sometimes they make silly mistakes and take away f7ne episodes like the Akane episode or Yayoi episode. My complaints are that Kelsey is blander than her Japanese counterpart and Lily keeps most of her character development but not all. Sometimes Glitter Force episodes are heavily edited and make stupid edits but most are just silly mistakes but most are still fun even when heavily edited. Overall Glitter Force is a good show that just makes some silly mistakes. Still way better than Glitter Force Doki Doki.

As much as it is unappreciative. I still love Glitter Force & I’ll love it for all eternity & I don’t care if it gets me hate in the long run. & I’ll be honest I was 50/50 with some episodes getting omitted. Miyuki/Emily is my favorite character & I’ve know I’m beating on a dead horse on this. But Toei animations treated her very unfairly & consistently threw her under the bus just cause of a common trope. & that’s what really grinds my gears because of some biased favoritism towards another character. Something that’ll I’ll never forgive Toei for what they did to her. I still can’t fathom that Nao/April did get enough character development & I know why. Toei animations has hatred for the color green I swear. & Märchenland/Jubiland definitely needed more screen time than what we were given.

I thought this was a pretty good adaptation. People expecting a straight up dub of Smile are gonna be disappointed. Otherwise, this works for what it is. Seeing the ratings for this show is telling. 90% of all the negative comments on Netflix are weeaboos going "WATCH PRECURE SUBTITLED! THEY MURDERED IT!" The comments praising the show are well... the exact same people they're aiming this for! I'd say they did a great job. I'd even go out and say Glitter Force > Smile.

i really enjoyed this dub it ant bad it took few episode to used to. thing is this is an adaption dub not straight out dub what i think toei who been trying to get pretty cute localized in the west for year even going as far as having dub trailer of yes pretty cure 5 on line for a license expo but failed but toei teaming up with Saban like always and given the chance to adaption dub the anime plus the fact Saban dubed anime before adapting toku with samurai pizza cats digimon a so many other during the 80 and even helped dubbing dragon ball z i think this was a good adaption of a new franchise by saban so i cant wait for the second batch of episode.

I just finished watching Season 1, and I'm surprised at how much it's grown on me! The first 6-7 episodes were kind of meh and I almost stopped watching just because it was so predictable. It was better after that though. I probably would have liked if they didn't change the civilian names, but I think the English glitter force names are better with the exception of Breeze. Also although Lucky is my favorite I can't stand when she goes 'POOF POOF!' way too cutesy for me lol.
