Jonas Vingegaard and Sepp Kuss. Grand Tour winners and two of the biggest names in professional cycling. They are amongst the fittest men on the planet, with legs and minds of steel. No one can beat them. Or can they? We have the perfect athlete to challenge the Visma Lease-A-Bike's lead riders. Dan Lloyd. Can the pull-up king push Kuss and Vingegaard out of Zone 2?

@gcn : Dan, I truly hope you had equally as much fun as you were shattered at the end of that. I'm now 50, and got back into cycling overall 6 years ago, and road cycling about 4. About 8 years ago, I had to give up playing ice hockey due to health concerns (I also had to change careers). I then packed on a lot of weight. As someone who worked in and around pro hockey (minor and major) when I would occasionally play against the pro athletes in scrimmages after quite some time away from it, I know exactly what it's like to be at the top of your abilities now, and have someone not that much younger than you seem to exert little effort for the same return. It's even worse when you're coming back to it after a several year hiatus. It's fun, as long as you don't think about it. If you do, it's disheartening, to say the least. Thank you for one of the most fun uploads to watch in quite some time. And I do hope we're ALL around on 20 years to see the rematch!!!

One of the best cycling videos I've ever seen, frankly! Dan is a hero for getting out there with arguably two of the greatest cyclists currently racing professionally. I'm 64 years old and that 220 minus my age is pretty close for my max HR, just as it was back in my early 30's when I was racing on an amateur level here in Southern California. Back then we didn't have power meters, Zwift/Rouvy/et al (or even the Internet for that matter to see this sort of thing, obviously) but knowing how some of the climbs in our local mountains compare to those in the Grand Tours, and knowing the times the pros were doing on those climbs, we just couldn't wrap our heads around how they could possibly do that. I was a pretty decent climber back then, relatively speaking of course. Watching Dan at a 10 while Jonas and Sepp were at a "high 2" just confirms how incredibly strong and talented the best pros are. Truly amazing.

This was great on so many levels. Dan, a guy who would smash 99.99% of your group ride buddies, getting humored by 2 of the best in the world at a 2/10. I’m 48 and a fraction of what I was 15 years ago, and still a fraction of Dan today, but it is fascinating to see the various levels. But the satisfaction is being the best self you can be, not in the final speed. And to see Jonas and Sepp humanized in this environment, it helps me appreciate them more as people and not just machines on my TV. They just picked better parents is all 😀. Great video GCN!

Kudos man. Whenever I have to take time away from anything, I think back to when I started skiing as a kid and having the learning curve just be so very enjoyable. I feel that getting back into anything can really renew the fun factor. Or maybe I'm just telling myself that because I had hernia surgery on Wednesday and have to take at least 4 weeks off of hard effort... Anyway, this video couldn't have come at a better time for me! Keep on truckin', Dan!

Would have loved to hear more chitchat and banter. Dan is always a real one when it comes to not taking himself to seriously and that always make me laugh so hard! Great ride Dan

At 44, very little proper training due to work and chaos of 2kids at home, he makes me feel a (little) bit better to see that even ex-pro can have a hard time too with a lack of training. If it can be of any consolation… 😅

Great video. Props to Dan for getting on it like that. And both Jonas and Sepp are top blokes, I think we all would love their fitness! But at 53 those days are firmly behind me, but were never anywhere near in the first place!!

Great job 👏 Dan, it took a lot of 🎱s to be sandwiched between two of the world’s greatest cyclists 🚴🏾 in a challenge. Jonas & Sepp looked as though the were doing a 16 minute leg warm up.
