Have you ever wondered how the news broadcast is made? Where Cheryl Hickey gets her clothes? As a thank you to all our viewers, Leslie Roberts takes us behind the scenes for a tour of Global Toronto in Don Mills, ON - a building that has a special place in Ontario's broadcast history.

The wardrobe return trick got borrowed by most of the youtube community. I remember watching a video where some guys explicitly said that back in the day when they did not have the budget, they would buy costumes, keep the tags and return them after shooting. Works like a charm.

This was a very interesting tour! Amazing just how much work and how many people it takes to put these newscasts/weather casts and shows together! Sheryl was sure a tease! Of course, this video was uploaded a decade ago. I wonder what she looks like now.

Nice work, Global! I remember visiting your studios when the game show “Food For Thought” was being taped there: I was a contestant on one episode, and everyone there was so nice to us all. It was such fun to be part of that production!

Completely custom virtual studio generation software. There are several manufacturers, ROSS Video is one of them.

use of wireless mics to the mic inputs on the camera 2 channels , ch1 left ch2 right

sure they could if they were to add a mixer however seeing as they are operating as mobile handheld it would be a bit cumbersome..

That's a pretty standard audio setup. It's called non-composite monoaural audio.

All thrown into a leased building, as everything is in the wrong places on floors, nothings in proximity to each other via corridors. They had invested heavily in this gimmick, surely they could have been more organised with a purpose built building - or was I wrong?...
