Saw this in person a few years ago. Varga is one of my favorite fighters! Glory is definitely underrated, so many great fighters

Agreed, just recently found out about him. He's a good person, smart and tough af. I think he's honorable, like the way he commentates his own fight against Lerdsila. 👍

I do not understand why this video has so little views. Gabriel Varga is almost the best in his division... if not the best at times.

A lot of love for Varga in these comments (and rightfully so) but Shane had him fighting for his life in there.

Shane had his leg kicks going for him in the 2nd round but in the 3rd round Gabriel did the same thing to Shane

Varga just looked more talented to me, Shane looked to be like a very hard guy to fight though. I'm a bit shocked that he was still standing after the second face kick, it looked like a great kick. Varga's back fists seemed ineffective other than another good tool to keep the opponent guessing, seems like the gloves were too padded and large to make a great back fist punch. Great fight. I would be cheering Shane, but the only innovative thing that I really noticed was his front abdominal kick when chased into the ropes, to back Varga off, that was very good.

This fight was amazing, so much to learn from both fighters! The size difference was giving Varga trouble but he’s too calm and too good of a technician. Glory is awesome, with their website was less hard to navigate and easier for them to take my money so that I can watch their events lol Also…. 6:58 😳 celebrity crush confirmed

I’m not familiar with kickboxing rules, but I was wondering, why didn’t they let them work the clinch more?
@warpeace40583 жыл бұрын
Glory rules are 5 seconds in the clinch but it has to be followed by knees or it will immediately be broken up. The reason why they don’t allow full clinch is because they want the fights to be full kickboxing matches and not have it a clinch fight which I’m sure the thais would dominate in their weight division.
@madmarmot97483 жыл бұрын
@Chaz Rubz I guess that makes sense. I’ve only ever watched Muay Thai fights, and from my understanding, the Thais get 5-10 seconds of what ever the hell they want before it gets broken up. Sometimes it seems like as long as both fighters active in the clinch they’ll let it keep going.

@@madmarmot9748 I love watching Muay Thai fights too there are so many amazing fighters from the golden age and the fights were brutal!!
@madmarmot97483 жыл бұрын
@@warpeace4058 Oh absolutely. Especially when you had a fighter that was really good at landing elbows. Some fighters you could barely tell they threw one out they were so fast lol. Its absolutely incredible to watch.

Varga is an excellent fighter. Wow But at 9:26, I wish he'd have drop kicked with his right leg - especially because his leg kept jumping. His opponent gave a bit of thinking time for the particular situation, as he was focused on generating power for the sweep kick.

There wouldn’t have been any reason too if the kick lands it wouldn’t have been damaging and at the most would’ve scored a point and wasted energy.

This was second fight of the evening for the both fighters. These dudes are tough as nails but you can see they had absolutely nothing left in the gas tank in the end of round 3. Go ahead and try yourself. :)
@EvasGamingASMR2 жыл бұрын
if you've ever fought, you'll know just how fast you get gassed. Faster than you think. for these guys to fight twice in one night is commendable. I couldn't do it. that's for sure. Not many people can do that

Really hate the shell and counter left hook/ counter low kick game in kick boxing. Every fighter looks like Holtzkin and roosemalin. Not fun for me to watch knowing if they didn't have those gloves they would get torn to shreds. Wish more ppl fought like petro
