Gloucester Cathedral Docks and where Sir Frank Whittle built the 1st Jet Engine. Flooded night stop

The last little adventure in my motorhome Gwendolyn. I take a look at the Cathedral and dock area. I found a young Lady Busker and my overnight stopping spot was flooded.

Thank you Michael, Gwendolyn and Muriel for another year of wonderful travels about the UK. I know very little about Gloucester other than one Doctor Foster went there, apparently in a shower of rain. Perhaps he went to your camp site for he stepped in a puddle right up to his middle. He never went there again. The cathedral looked different than most, it seemed to have a modern look to the outside, quite intriguing. Beautiful within. Glad to see that the dock area has a preserved look to it rather than flattened out and modern shopping malls with multi story car parks installed. Enjoy a winters break and we'll see you on the road again in spring 2024. Regards, David.

Merry Christmas to you and Carole and thanks for your comment. I had forgotten about Dr Foster and the youngsters today would associate the cathedral with Harry Potter rather then the Doctor. Cheers and regards Michael

Hi Michael. Gloucester looks like a really interesting place. Ive never been so ill add it to my list. Glad u didnt get stuck in the floods. There is so much water about especially here in the East Midlands. Thank you for all your videos in 2023. I enjoy them immensly . Looking forward to 2024. Happy new year to you and Mandy .👍

Hi Michael, most of those old buildings in the docks have been turned into apartments the antiques centre is now in Westgate street which you drove up on the way to the cathedral , every year the docks hold a tall ships festival you might like to visit but it does get rather busy if I new you were visiting we could have met up being it’s my home city thanks for all your interesting videos this year looking forward to seeing more next year cheers Al
