Ok I saw the 2018 was 7 hours the longest one would you say this one has the same level of exploration as the 2018 one or this one has more in general ( Or could be that Ragnarok just has more than twice the amount of story than 2018 did)

Fun Fact: Verdandi referred to Kratos as “Cruel Striker” during his fight with the first guard at the Well of Urd. In Norse mythos, Loki’s father’s name is Fárbauti. Which literally translates to “Cruel Striker.” In Old Norse language, “Cruel Striker,” Fárbauti, is a kenning used to refer to lightning. Where “Laufey,” Loki’s mother, means “Leaf Island” and is a kenning for a pile of dry leaves. So when lightning ‘strikes’ a pile of dry leaves, you get (drumroll,) a WILD FIRE. Which is a rather fitting way to describe the saga of Loki and their exploits through Norse mythos. Though, here in the game, “Cruel Striker” is more of an allusion to Kratos’s exploits in Greece, as he slew all the Gods of Olympus and burned it to the ground.

1:36:36 Mimir mentions a Lake Nymph named Nimue. Nimue is a nymph from the Arthurian Legends and she's responsible for keeping King Arthur's sword in the lake. Maybe the next game after GOW: Ragnarok is gonna be based around the Arthurian Legends and Kratos will get to meet King Arthur Pendragon himself.

33 minutes in. The vision segment is a huge missed opportunity to really dig into Kratos' character. By giving visions of his original journey. The stuff that really made him as a character. The things that still haunt him now. But no we just get something as simple as daddy fears that his son will take to the big bad more than him. It was kinda pathetic compared to what Mimir got.
