It was very obvious this guy was on his phone. The drifting of the car with sudden corrections is a big give away. Sure enough as I went past I saw he had no hands on the steering wheel and was typing with two hands on his phone.

Glad to hear that the driver got reported. On a separate note, I wouldn't filter past such a vehicle with and the curb, especially with the railings there.

+The Mirror Guy Well that's your decision but pretty much every single cyclist going over tower bridge does. The traffic is quite often stationary or doing 10 MPH and is queued for the entire length of the bridge so it would be a big delay if you didn't. You do need to make sure the vehicle isn't going to randomly move over into your space but that's the case whenever you are passing anyone.

Using a phone is like a plague these days among drivers. People see one cyclist running a red light, they are all.. look all cycyclist are running a red light and behave badly... What they don't see (or don't want to see) is all the drivers in the same queue or in the vicinity using a phone while driving. It happens everywhere, and there are some scary statistics out there showing how much damage and loss of lives this causes.

I went for a walk during rush hour locally some time ago. Static and slow moving traffic. I'd say at least a third of drivers I saw were playing on phones and I'm not saying that on for effect. I was pretty appalled.
