Teaching the highway code (with subtitles)

I've come across this guy before. Apparently he has no issues for beeping at cyclists who (in his opinion) are slowing him down or getting in his way.
The left of the road going up this hill has a really awful surface after they did some road works. It's very uncomfortable to cycle on so I tend to avoid the new tarmac. This means that I either cycle in the gutter very close the the kerb (as I do initially) or I cycle further out from the kerb near the unpainted tarmac. When there is a badly fitted drain cover I actually go ON the unpainted tarmac - how dare I!
Despite there being absolutely loads of room for this guy to get past without issue he decides to sound his horn as he goes past just to make his point. I try and explain the highway code to him.

PUBLIC Highway.....the clue is in the name. And 1 person in a tank like that starts to preach.... ironic.

That looks to be over 30 MPH. I'd have asked him why he didn't beep the scooter who was travelling at the same speed as you.

You'd think that before someone is allowed to drive some massive SUV around vulnerable road users they would have to pass a test proving they actually knew how to do so safely.🚲🚙

I must commend that, way more patience than I have! I’m of the opinion that if you’re doing anything on the road that you’d fail your test for you shouldn’t be there, so as soon as I see it my blood boils. You did a great job, but sadly most of these people you just can’t reason with, mostly because if you could, they would not already be doing this shit!

I find muppets like this enraging . He thinks an ability to drive a vehicle and a licence to do so , has endowed him with more legal right to be on the road than other legitimate users . I don't believe this person will go home and check his facts , I'm afraid.

Report it, even if they do fuck all records will show it was reported. Then report it again if it happens again! I had a close pass, horn hapy twat. Three times in a month, he lost his licence after the 3rd one, which resulted in points and fine.

Point of order.... I'm not sure why you kept the lane after the pinch point... But with the fact you said you've deal before with the driver, if you stayed there to interfere with him deliberately, that is again the highway code

+MrT0ffee "I'm not sure why you kept the lane after the pinch point" well it doesn't really matter does it? "if you stayed there to interfere with him" IF is the important word there. I didn't realise it was the same guy till I got home and checked the number. Maybe read the description of the video if you are wondering why I was cycling where I was.
