But why has JK Rowling been harping on about trans people and trying to make it anti-women or say it's an insult to women if there are males who identify as female? Jk is not anti trans. Not in the slightest. It’s a minority of those people who are so low in self esteem that they cannot find their own way of describing themselves. Those who rant about this and try to destroy real women are actually men - of the loudest sort and who try to intimidate women because they want to grab what we are. They are not what we are - they are something different entirely No one cares what people do with their private lives if they are not hurting anyone else. These people are demeaning women and trying to stamp them out to be replaced by themselves.

A name change is totally different from a sec change. You have various Christian names that could be male or female like Kim, Alex or an actress called Leslie Ash ( should have strictly been Lesley)

Phobia is irrational fear, so she is by definition not transphobic. And also, she is just right, a man is a man, nothing can change that, same for women. You can lie and cover things up, take drugs, chop off parts, that does not and will not change what you are. And trans is a bad thing in general, so being against it is just reasonable. Which is why most of the world is in fact against it.

She is not transphobic. She is not afraid of a trans-person. She only says that a woman is a woman, a man is a man. That is science. When I put a Porsche body on a VW beetle chassis I do not have a Porsche. That is a replica. When someone wants to build that and drive around in it , no problem. But do not try to sell it to me as a Porsche, how good the copy may be.
