No wentz had his MVP season in his second year. He got paid after getting injured twice, once in 17 and 18, so they paid him after major injuries because they felt they had to. Hurts is a different character and this will be cheap once those other QBs get paid.

Total defense was ranked 10th but their pass defense was one of the worst in the league. Lamar has only ever had one good receiver (Marquise Brown) and never had any consistency out of the backfield. They also have benefitted from their division being kinda weak the past couple seasons. Cowboys flop in the playoffs, Giants are still in the process of turning things around, and Washington is a dumpster fire. This will likely continue next season, allowing Philly to once again believe they’re the best team to walk the earth. Then, they’ll inevitably lose after gloating (a la Nick Siriani mocking Patrick Mahomes during the Super Bowl) and go riot for days on end as they protest that the game was rigged.

Mahomes version of “good” vs Jalen’s is comparing apples to oranges. Mahomes gets overhyped by the media for the crazy tosses and things like that. Yes, they’re impressive. It’s not the first time you see things like that, but most of us forget things. Favre was a lot like mahomes, but with way more turnovers. It helps that mahomes got drafted to the chiefs because of Andy Reid. Stafford made most of the crazy types of throws that mahomes gets so much hype for. Yes, he’s been successful. There’s no denying that. Mahomes is evidence that if you build correctly around a qb, you can succeed. There’s no qb that doesn’t have weaknesses that need to be covered up. Jalen brings many things to the table that mahomes doesn’t. Ultimately they’re two sides of the same coin, and I doubt anyone has a better grasp on their role in life and in football and has a better work ethic than Jalen. He’s exceptional and will continue this play, like mahomes will.

Guaranteed money is a great thing from the perspective of a player, but owners don’t usually just have 155 million dollars sitting around. Their wealth is vested in assets, it takes time to get that money and allocate it.
