I'm delighted to see that you are playing this one as co-op with Jay rather than solo Ash. If it goes even half as well as my co-op games of 5 Parsecs, it will be great. Dipping into pop culture stories to explain why X happened to Y makes the co-op experience particularly special I think.

A very flexible game, the map generates itself, you can tweak it to your liking, include more rpg elements and you can even solo it! Running a campaign right now with the expansion.

@@arthurmensing3869 From RSP? most everything, they have awesome supplements for enemy types and group compositions, as well as scene/ location setting. the GM's Miscellany line has a lot of "XX Dressing" books, like "Urban Dressing" that have random tables for generating environments and encounters. Really all around their supplements are top quality.

Very keen to see the playthroughs of this. One concern I have is that this may be like.....the Advanced adventure game. Like, its going to be fun to be the author of your own fate, but without the experience of a few systems (granted, I really only have Silver Tower so far) under your belt then this may be a tad dense. Cant wait to find out how it is!

What is the structure of a group/characters if multiple players are running a co-op game? Also, how does the combat being so brutal interact with the idea of a solo/co-op adventure, and what is the combat AI? I feel like those are important things that might have gotten glossed over or missed.
@LumberingTroll
@LumberingTroll Жыл бұрын
you get 4 heroes and 2 followers in a party, for each player they get a hero, and you can divide the controls of the rest of the party however you want, so for example if you were playing with 2 people, you could each have 2 heroes and 1 follower. one of each of your heroes would be an Avatar.
@Vorpal_Wit
@Vorpal_Wit Жыл бұрын
@@LumberingTroll Ok, thnx. My concern then would be, if combat is so brutal, am I going to be rolling up new Heroes constantly, given each player has so few?
@LumberingTroll
@LumberingTroll Жыл бұрын
@@Vorpal_Wit Potentially yes, but there is an option to play with multiple wounds, the game in general is meant to be hard, almost rogue-like. you can mitigate a lot of the danger by playing smart and staying close together as you get modifiers from being supported by friendlies.

It definitely goes deeper than Five Parsecs and has a more involved close combat system than Five Parsecs, but I still end up playing 5P more often. Both games accomplish what they set up to do. I do like that the starter adventure is included in the main 5L rulebook instead of the expansion like 5P.
