It’s actual true that many a Indian farmers when they go bankrupt can commit suicide - they used to do it by drinking insecticides or herbicides but when glyphosate came along it didn’t work for them - after all you don’t get real world examples of people drinking the stuff unless by mistake or deliberate

Saying we dont need regulations becasue we can trust company's to do the right things is the equivalent of saying we dont need laws because we can trust people to not commit crimes
@ar007r
@ar007r 2 жыл бұрын
Laws don’t stop people from committing crimes. They are instructions about how to mitigate the harmful actions. This is why you cannot declare something a law or a right that goes against normal population behaviours. When you make public policy forcing people to do an action because you know a significant portion would not do so otherwise you guarantee failure as well as the risk of authoritarian escalation. This, for example, is why mandatory vaccines was outright authoritarian. It turns out people are going to act as you predict they will so you cannot turn segments of the population into criminals merely because you prefer that they acted upon your preferences. It is the same exact thing as a country making homosexuality illegal. Laws should be to protect people from actions that harm you not to enforce ideological agendas that turn out have no scientific basis.
@informationyes
@informationyes 2 жыл бұрын
@@ar007r Laws generally must have consequences for breaking them as part of their nature and these consequences stop alot of people and this will be the case even when the law isnt scientificly valid as sadly authoritarians states exist/ only if a law causes enough attantion will people may people fight to change it, so yes laws do stop people from committing crimes and if a laws, a person facing an immoral law wront allways be willing to face the consequences because its not scientificly valid.

@@puffdragon26 He literally said "I'd be happy to" and then went on to create the dumpsterfire of a contradiction that was his next sentence after he saw that the interviewer actually had some roundup with him. Look at how many times he is negating what he just said. "I'd be happy to, no not really, people try to commit suicide with it, and fail, reg- irregularly". And why would he be so pissed and flee the interview if he clearly knew he was justified and right? Oh, and cant forget that he interrupts any attempt at asking him to clarify his contradictory mess. You cant just say "I'd be happy to drink this substance" on accident. Like, what did he actually mean to say then? Anything else would have contradicted his position, so there is NOTHING related to drinking it that was relevant to the interview at hand. Yet, he chose to say that drinking it is safe. That is literally not an accident, because he had nothing else to say in place.

Most people still don't get the fact that: 1. everything bad for plants/weeds/insects, is bad for you 2. everything bad for rats is bad for your neighbourhood cats 3. everything bad for lice is bad for you. Therefore, only use in a confined space and only when necessary, in a moderate amount. And preferably not at all, if that is possible ofcourse. If you need to destroy the weeds, use a vinegar-based solution. If you need to get rid of insects, get ladybugs or give them an 'insect-hotel' so they don't bother you inside the house. If you have rats, remove the foodsource and capture and re-place them in the woods. If you have lice, pre-comb with conditioner first, or hair-oil. You can remove a lot of them without the anti-lice-treatments. The next day, you try the anti-lice-treatments and then the hair-oil again. Once the 'babies' are there, you try this again. Don't smear your head with acidic-creams instantly, you'll damage your already-bitten-skin on your head.

People when attacking roundup use 'roundup' and 'glyphosate' interchangeably We should all make ourselves aware of this Glyphosate is an actual chemical, a molecule. It is possible for scientists to test Glyphosate on animals and let the readers of the result think the test was about roundup Roundup is not Glyphosate It is a blend of many things, including Glyphosate AND also leftovers from the industrial production process that produces the Glyphosate. In roundup there are smaller amounts of leftover ingredients that are put into the process intending to get the Glyphosate output. Some of the the chemicals that go into the process and are not completely converted to Glyphosate and are therefore present as impurities in the product "Glyphosate" include: formaldehyde N-Nitrosoglyphosate Both of these are in "Glyphosate" and probably the product called "roundup" These 2 chemicals are carcinogenic
