Genetically modified foods are foods with altered DNA. Their genetic material has been combined with other forms of life, including other plant forms, insecticides, pesticides, bacteria and viruses. Guest expert Jeffrey Smith, pioneer of the non-GMO movement and founder of the Institute of Responsible Technology, and I discuss some of the most common GMO foods and why they should be avoided.
In this video, we also share three of the newest GMO foods on the market that you may not be aware of. Watch our video to learn more and avoid the harmful side effects of genetically modified foods, which include increased allergies, antibiotic resistance, faster aging and more.

It is not easy being the nerd who always asks 'is this organic?' but it is the only way we can give our bodies - and those of our loved ones - the best chance of healthy survival. Jeffrey Smith is a hero and should become a household name, for the protection he offers to us and to future generations. At last, I have found a source of credible, scientifically backed data which will encourage the eyeball rollers to finally sit up and listen. Great vid, Dr Josh!

America, EU, Brazil, Argentina and China are well known to grow GMO foods. Since there is no proper laws that cover the use off GMO labelling for foods, how on earth we will be SAFE from these kind of dangerous foods?

I love what you are doing to help others become aware of GMO's and how they can harm us. I feel lucky that I have purchased almost completely organic meat and veggies for my family for years. However, every Christmas we go to our local butcher and purchase a very delicious fresh prime rib and he has kindly passed us pounds of the fat trimmings for mixing in with deer meat after hunting season. And now, after watching this eye opening video last week, I decided to call and ask if the butchers meat is grass fed or organic. Is is non organic and grain fed. I'm not too concerned with the one meal a year at Christmas time, though all that fat that was added to our wild deer meat really concerns me. My husband thinks I am being overly worried, but it could have the same destroying effects to our cells even with small amounts of fat, correct? I try very hard to feed my family right and now I feel like I have a deep freeze filled with harmful food. I don't want the stress about the meat to harm me, and next year I will seek out organic meat trimmings, but I'm not sure if I should let it go from my mind, or just choose not to eat the meat for myself? And suggestions?
@helloruru9258
@helloruru9258 7 жыл бұрын
Give up meat? I haven't been eating meat or dairy since 2012 and neither has anyone in my family and we all feel great. Also, there are plenty grass-fed options their. But consider going vegan either full time or part time. You will probably feel better, and it's better for the environment as well, as cattle releases harmful emissions more than cars...

dsndicmsa Modern farming practices and GMO's have been around less than 100 years. People have been organic for thousands of years prior (or longer). The fact that people think the current way is "normal" proves that they are the ones being marketed to. Every commercial i see is for soda and fast food, nothing organic. Yes they mark up the prices on organic but that doesn't occur in countries that ban these farming practices. The FDA allows this to happen by lack of regulation and by subsidizing GMO corn and other non-organic farming.

Hi! You have a video titled 10 toxin foods and 10 healing foods. I would like to know how is any foods healing at this day and age when on one hand we have GMO foods and then we have regular food that's being sprayed with herbicides, pesticides, insecticides and etc. Then I've watched documentaries about even organic farms are been ruined by the herbicides and other stuff because it's traveling from one place to another for hundreds of miles. So how do you know when u are spending all that money on fruits and vegetables and the crop that the animals are eating that's being fed an organic and vegetarian diet is not eating crops that have that stuff in it.
@helloruru9258

You can still do your best. Support organic farmers and grow your own when you can, even if it's cilantro in a pot. Even tomatoes can grow in a small pot. The more you help strengthen the organic farming system, the better it gets, especially if we help the farmers stay honest and transparent. But yeah, this problem is a tough one. But we've been through worse, we'll pull through. We just gotta do our part.

SOLUTIONS, IDEAS, FOOD SOURCES that we can maybe trust that when it say natural it mean it's very close to or natural from where we have to by the foods?? how do you know it's natural? is there a different market then sprouts and whole foods that claims natural foods? books are good but a lot of people might not have the time to read, or maybe others are interested in the books but they can't understand everything, if the people that sell the books include with the book some DVD's as a video talking and helping us eat better that's what make the book sell even more and do the desired results Thanks alot for the help

if everyone with even the smallest of yards would grow as much heirloom seed food,non gmo, and no chemicals on it...then there wouldnt be a need for farmers to use gmo seeds and sprays. what little waste from pests wouldnt make a difference. I am totally against monsanto and gmos and roundup....but we also have to take blame for our part of not growing our own food....causing a shortage and a need for the highest crop success rate. own our part in it, and change it. We now grow over 2000 lbs of non gmo, heirloom, chemical free, food on 1/2 and acre of our front and back yard! Wisdom is power! Only you can decide that your family isnt going to be fed that gmo crap anymore, and only you can decide to grow healthy food for your family. Priorties also...Ive heard parents say that between work, school activities, and extra activities for the kids, that they dont have time to grow a garden! ....and they are so tired from all the running here and there, that they end up going out to eat...drive thrus, and or quick processed food at home all the time. I just want to scream at them that their priorities are all wrong! Their familys health is more important than dance class,piano class,t ball,basketball and so on. Open eyes ppl! grow your food at home ,or as much of it at home as you can, and get your family healthy.

Mimi Lee The DNA in foods have been messed with, therefore rendering them not wholesome for consumption. It is more than what's on the skin. That's scary.

Ingrid Ennis I'm just sharing what people have done to clean their fruits and vegetables. It cleanses beyond the skin and surface. Baking soda and apple cider vinegar pulls impurities out of the body as well.

Science is just science... The fact that they are using this technology to harm humans and the planet like this is crimes against humanity and Earth. I agree, it needs to end and only use genetically modified organisms for cases when it's actually beneficial, IF proven safe, and that's not 99.99% of GMO's that are poisoning us in the current corrupted state of things.

your real concern seems to be pesticides and herbicides that are sprayed rather than GMOs itself.

Yeah, lots of idiots and corrupted politicians out there, unfortunately. But, focus on what you CAN do. Because we all make a difference, and there are things that only You can do. Keep it real, and make choices that create a better, honest and healthy future.
