i hope one of these days somebody makes a map where out of nowhere theres just an NPC thats sitting at his desk doing his job, when you interact, he says custom dialoge, it would be such a funny and yet terrifying addition

This dude is literally so calming and relaxing in his videos. It feels as if someone is reading a bedtime story to you as you fall asleep.

When I first explored this map with a friend, we took a much different path, instead starting by going through the tunnel, leading into the large industrial hallway, and taking the door on the left to lead us into the large yellow ball room. And later ending up in the offices. We thought the map was, at first, calm and welcoming, and later dreadful and creepy. I think its so cool how taking different paths, which eventually connect, can change someone's vibe of a map. Edit: at 35:08 you stood exactly where the figure of a man once stood, opening the door to get in despawns him. If you went closer to the corner of the windows in the office room with the computer with the photo of him, you can see him in the lightning flashes.

I have to fall asleep to noise, like KZfaq videos, so typically I have those irl sounds influencing dreams far too often. It can be incredibly disconcerting

10:44 I think that song you can hear is the start of the first stage of Everywhere At The End of Time, made by The Caretaker. It was created to encapsulate the stages of Dementia. It's 6 hours long but the first 3 and a half minutes are a popular song to use in games that deal in memory, either the loss of memory or the purposeful repression of traumatic memories.

I love the big man that you notice through a window. One of the best ways to scare people is by making something appear in a way that is subtle and missable. Even better that here, it only happens once.

10:23 as soon as I heard that music, my heart sank into my stomach. That's a tune I know all too well. IMMEDIATELY set the vibe of what the map was gonna be like for me. For those who are wondering, that would be "It's Just A Burning Memory" from the abstract art album "Everywhere At The End Of Time" and is meant to convey the first stages of memory loss from Alzheimer's disease. I'm not prone to tears but even my eyes got a little damp from experiencing that album.

24:58 on that topic, I'd like to point something out and share an expirence i had like this: so first of all, if you're in a dream like the name suggests, then maybe the loud bangs those doors from earlier made where something that happened in real life like what you're talking about. Makes that little encounter scarier. Oh and, I just thought of this; if it is that then what if the figure in the window you saw after that was also from real life? Maybe someone broke in and started whatching you sleep and that was manifested in this dream? Scary thought. Anyway, the little story I wanted to share is a dream I had about a year ago that has to do with this topic somewhat. I was leaving the house with a few family members to go somewhere, but outside was like the artic. It was a heavy blizzard and pitch black outside, the backroom with the screendoor that we where leaving out of also has the basement door; which I've never acually been down, only a few steps. Its unfinished and dark, I've always been afraid of it. This nightmare made that fear worse. As we were leaving I noticed the basement door was open, so I asked "why is this open" and went over to shut it. But you have to lean through the doorway to reach over and grab the door over these old wooden steps. I looked down those steps and saw a large dog standing on them, it was a white lab looking dog, or at least about that size. Some of its features were distorted like a leg being to long for example, and its front legs were both on the middle step while its back legs were just floating like it was on solid ground. Like in a video game when the hitbox is technically on the legde but the model is half floating. Almost immediately after I saw it, it looked up at me, instantly went into an aggressive posture with its ears pined back, but its mouth opened wide and it screamed an incredibly loud human woman scream. It woke me up instantly, it was bright outside and around 9:00 I think. It was also completely silent. Which is strange becasue I do not live alone and the others are usually awake by then. So I thought that I heard that scream in real life and from my mom so I got up to go ask my parents of anything happened and told them about my dream and they said no one screamed. So my dream just had a super realistic blood curdling scream all on its own. But at least it wasn't real.

I have had so many "day-dreams" and even a couple real dreams with the TV on where the sounds from it will influence the dream sometimes integrating the subject into whatever was already going on, some real wacky stuff happens from that.

My personal interpretation of the computer notes is that you are the person who took those notes, and this is a recurring nightmare. Whether you like it or not, you are the one confronting the masked man.

Hey curious if you'll ever be up to play Clive Barker's Jericho, or any Dark Souls game? Dark Souls has such an amazing story, and beautiful scenery. It's a difficult game, but very rewarding. Clive Barker's Jericho is a old game with very gothic themes, with a very intriguing story too. However everyone says the gameplay is bad... Just curious! Seeing you play F.E.A.R. reminded me of those two games! Love your vids btw Librarian!~

When I was playing this map with my boyfriend and exploring, I saw the guy in the window and stared at him, expecting him to do something. Then my boyfriend kicked the fucking door in the room down (We had a kick mod enabled) and launched the door against the window and I screamed and he laughed at me. I have such a nice bf :)

Which mods are you using for your VR Experience? I downloaded the VR mod from the workshop but it has some stuff missing such as the flashlight or advanced weapon handling. It looks a lot more right when you're playing it.
