I love this song! My reaction to the music video which I have not seen in a long time.

His parents died when he was a teen and he suffered depression. It's also possible he had a psychotic break at some time, based on lyrics. But there's also a message about being yourself and following your dreams, regardless of others thinking you're weird or crazy for it.

Wow, right on. thanks for sharing. Yes, and as a songwriter myself, I can think of several songs I have written right now that have come from different parts of my life. Like some lyrics come from this or that expeirience but they all kind of come together to mean a similar thing. And that's the beauty of it. It's deep but also relatable from many different experiences. This is such a cool song. A lot of lyrics are just vague but this manages to do that with real depth as well.

@@JSteezy Yes to everything you said. And as a songwriter myself, I relish the layered, textured nature of Crazy. And the intelligent way his voice moves through and against the tempo. For me, there is such a haunting sad sound to this too, even as it manages to be so uplifting and soul-stirring - an epic song.

@@CheezInspector oh it's a beautiful sound. There's a tone of real tragedy to the whole song that is never really lost. He's got a great voice for it as if he's always just on the verge of tears. It's a masterpiece. One of the best songs to hit mainstream radio success in "recent" years. Such a classic for me already but it had an older sound and maybe that helped.

Thumbs up to anyone who noticed the mouse in the video. It's because of the producer for the music goes by Danger Mouse.

This video actually looks like when the psychiatrist show you a picture of a symmetrical blot and ask you what it looks like to determine what goes on in your head..

Indeed. Ink-blot tests.

This song is about living the life you want to live and being the person you want to be without worrying about other people's opinion. Also the lead singer in Ceelo Green. You should check out his other songs. He is really soulful.

I know a bit of his work outside this. He pops up in a lot of places. Even some underground Kendrick. Very iconic voice and soul.

The industry make u think out side the box not that were doing it too I'm just saying. And my bad think I said in my first post that Ceelo wrote that, I'm lil drunk so don't mind me

lol it's all good. A well written song can be interpreted many ways. I can see it being that way too.

Loved the Mc Donald's comparation lmao

Haha thanks! I think it's a fair comparision. Corporate, mass produced, tasty in a very surface level way but not much past that. Thank you :D

Taylor just released her latest album yesterday. You should react to it. I’m srsly gonna fight with you if you hate 💪🏻 lmao . That album was whimsical. She released a music video for “cardigan”.

you eat while recording?

Sometimes. I basically just do whatever I am doing when I am watching internet videos, as if nobody is watching. Keeps them honest to how I actually sit down and listen to videos sometimes but I might start being more conscious about what I am eating or how, since I am making videos afterall.

T. Swift is manufactured crap. Sry. I quit listening to her yrs ago. This song is amazing. I have not heard it in yrs. I feel it was brilliant they chose to use the ink blot therapy art for the vid. because it’s called crazy 😜!! I love it!!

I'm trying to find some work of hers I really like but I've yet to find something that is very far from what you are describing. I don't think less of her as a person or anything, it just is what it is, mainstream and watered down music to appeal to masses. And I think that formula in this day and age is different and even lower than what it was a few decades ago because it has to compete with so much noise now that we have the interne and people are much less likely to give a deeper level of attention to something. Also, I am laughing at myself for not connecting the dots between the song title and the ink blot therapy. It is so perfect...yet it went so under my radar haha. I just never thought anything of it. I feel silly but oh well, I appreciate you pointing it out! Seems obvious but I never considered it hahaha.

Is it really too much to not eat while you do this? All that smacking is distracting. That earned you the thumbs down.
@JSteezy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I worked hard for that thumb. I just do what I would normally do when watching videos. Trying to keep the environment honest to how I would be viewing it otherwise. But I feel ya. It's something to be balanced.
