Love the shoes . I had made some shoes but I only used felt until I seen yours. The foam sheet for the sole and the foam balls were a great idea. Thanks for the input.

The supplies are listed in the pattern along with a few alternative supplies you can use. In this, I'm using felt, foam core, craft foam, string, and styrofoam balls.

The pattern has an inch marker, so when printed, they are the size created. That said, I've had readers send me pictures of them scaling the pattern up and down, so it's as big as you'd like.

I had a reader tell me she enlarged the digital pattern on her phone, placed a piece of paper on top, and traced it. It might work better if you have a tablet. ;)

In the pattern, I go into detail. For this sneaker, it's felt, craft foam, foam core, string, and styrofoam balls.

I bought the pattern. The small balls don't fit the bottom. I tried larger balls and the back piece doesn't come around far enough on the front. Grrrrr. Hope the boots go better or I need to cut the bottom down. Hmmmm

Lari, hmm this isn’t the common experience. Can you tell me what fabric you’re using? Also the type of Styrofoam (floral or foam)? Those are the only reasons I can think of things not fitting together.

@@SarahNenniDaher I had the same problem ☹, used 1.5 " styrofoam balls. You make it look so easy. Mine didn't work.

@@cindyallison7101 I made all of the shoes over after Lari brought this up. The only pattern that was shorted was this one (it was only the piece that fits AROUND the shoe). I am editing the revised pattern now and am giving additional shoes and a new one for free to apologize for this pattern transfer error.

@@cindyallison7101 Yes, if you purchased from the ruffles and rain boots store, it will auto-email when I fire the update (the pattern is done and I am working on the SVG files now). If you purchased from Etsy, you'll have to email me - they don't allow us to push updates or contact people "offline" by sending them emails. I'll be making announcements on all platforms as soon as we finish the cut files, so if you follow along here on KZfaq, Facebook, the DIY gnomes group, or in my newsletter, you'll hear when it's ready. :)
