The biggest reason why Gordon is so blunt on hell's kitchen and kitchen nightmares is because he's working with grown adults that have a moderate amount of culinary experience, he acts much more calmer on master chef since he's mostly working with amateurs, it's more of a experience thing with Gordon, if you are held to a high standard such as a professional chef and you don't know what you're doing, then yes Gordon is gonna scream and yell at you.

I once had a teacher who was well-known for being incredibly harsh on her students. One day, she explained why. Prior to becoming a teacher, she was a police officer for 20 years. She was harsh because she didn't want us to end up like the thugs, junkies and criminals that she had to drag to jail because nobody bothered to teach them how to behave and be successful in life. She was harsh because she wanted us to have a bright future.

Whenever you watch a cooking show with Gordon Ramsay, he almost always gets the right balance between when to offer the carrot and when to wield the stick. On Hells Kitchen and some cases in Kitchen Nightmares, he can be extremely blunt and rude to people, but often because it’s deserved. In these shows, he’s dealing with professionals who should know what they’re doing. In other shows like Masterchef and the F Word, he’s much calmer and laid back because he’s often dealing with amateurs and people who don’t do it for living and he wants to encourage them.

Sure, some of it might have been from his father, but remember, Marco Pierre White had the same, if not, worse behavior. But it is only because of how demanding their industry is. Gordon never gets too personal unless it is necessary like how some owners in Kitchen Nightmares are too irresponsible or fail to hold accountability. That's where he gets mad. But his intentions are always genuine, even if they might come too harsh.

And if THOSE people don't do their job properly, I mean what else did they expect other than those truthful words that come out of his mouth? @@martinhorvath4117 My mother came within an inch of her life 6 years ago. She had Ahi Tuna Tartare at a Cheesecake Factory, completely safe if prepared properly. Apparently, this fish was not. Tuna and other predatory fish are filled with a compound called histatin. When the animal dies, the histatin undergoes a chemical reaction, transforming into raw histamine, the chemical that causes inflammation. This process can be stopped if the fish is eaten or cooked straight away, or paused if the fish is frozen. Too much of this chemical can lead to allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, which is what almost happened to my mom a few hours after consuming the fish. It had not been frozen in time, which meant that the chemical process had already begun, and Ahi Tuna Tartare is served raw. She had to choke down several Benadryl tablets just to stop herself from dying right then and there, and she went to the hospital immediately after to get checked out. She was extremely lucky, and not everyone that has that happen to them is. So, to answer your question of how many people die to bad restaurants? You’re asking the wrong question. How many people die from poorly stored, prepared, or cooked food served in any restaurant? More than you think. That is why it is so incredibly important and why I applaud people like Gordon for the work that he does, not just for the business, but for the customers as well.

This is a fantastic example of not letting your past define you. So many abusers become abusers themselves. Instead, Gordon learned from his father's mistakes and created a better life for not only himself but his entire family. You can either let your situation define you, be down in the dumps, throw in the towel and accept your "fate", or you can choose to grow immensely from it and fight through adversity. I've understood him from the very first episode of hell's kitchen. His past was haunting him, I've not had a easy childhood. With my mother being a thief and stealing money/jewelry and other goods from neighbors and shops and even the maids that was working for my father. She brought 4 children among them being me as the last born. What I know is that she used me to get money from my father and siphon the money to her own greed and never took care of me when i was at the age of one. The reason i believed my father is because the documents he has and the evidence against her is overwhelming and i loved my mother so much until she caused a massive war when i was at the age 18. Filing a law case against him for stealing us while she gave us away to my father. I remember that day very carefully when i stood in court saying that he paid/cared for us the whole time and you barely visited us. I've not been abused by any of my parents but mentally i've and the past haunts me a lot because of it. The past may go, but it remains a memory. For someone who’s been through a lot he’s the light at the end of the tunnel for every kid that went through what he went through and I think that’s why I have high respect for him. He’s proven that no matter how you grew up even through abuse you can be a good person and successful as well❤️
