The dirt devil junior I had as a kid (it ran off 2 AA batteries) would pick up better than that thing. Glad we don’t have those here in the states

I remember my gran used to have a 1973 Goblin 702 cylinder vacuum cleaner and like Hoover Goblin really have fallen down hard in terms of quality.

Great video, I had a goblin back in the 90s, it was rather good. I have to say that this one you’re showing on this video, it is an insult to the brand. The noise is terrible, as you said yourself. Wow, I would not recommend this to anybody that lives in a block of flats. Everybody would know when you’re doing the cleaning. LOL.

Reminds me of the hoover whirlwind. To be fair it did get out quite a lot of dirt out of your carpet. However the performance will quickly drop once that pleated filter clogs up and they are a nightmare to clean.

Seems to have a lot of vacuum power but it doesn't like being pushed around on your carpet but barefloor it seems to be alright

The vacuum "floor adjustment,(switch at front) needs adjusting from deep carpet to maybe floor covering

The previous generation of them was so much better, in fact the best upright under £60 IMO

Vacuum up you had a hard adjustment up so just lowered it down just a little

It sounds like a 2001 saturn sc1 cold start where the engine is rough for a few seconds

This would be an amazing vacuum but just like all other vacuums currently on the market including Numatics, they are let down by the stupid EU regulations because since that got introduced everyone's using plastic floor heads instead of old metal 1s which worked brilliant but any vacuum that has a cheap plastic floor head is useless in my opinion yes they are very powerful but they are near impossible to push around and I honestly don't think modern vacuums will last like they used to, old Henry's and Dyson from early 00s will last forever I got a 2004 Henry and a Dyson DC04 And DC01, all work brilliant and never let me down, I bought a Belderay 2 years ago and it's already dead and ended up in a skip same as my cordless dyson, I honestly don't believe modern vacuums are even worth purchasing anymore, my partner just bought a brand new shark and as much as I love how powerful it is and how quiet it is I hate the fact it sounds so cheap and plastic and sounds like your gonna snap it whenever you recline it to use, They need to start making them like they used to, bring back robust vacuums not cheap chinese plastic ones that die as soon as the manufacturer warranty ends and then leave you having to buy another
